Added you :D
The title was inspired from our rewatch last night ;) |
Perfect title! In about 3 months or so, we might can watch that episode on this thread.:rotfl:
|
I'd be up for that :D
|
Also, great gifset on the OP from you.:)
|
Thanks, I couldn't find many out there - but I've always got a couple up my sleeve ;)
|
^ Keep on doing the brilliant job you are doing.:) Happy you can make gifs.
|
Love that gifset.
|
Thanks for starting this up
Can I be added? :flowers: |
Add me please, Soph :flowers:
I loved their friendship! That episode where they worked on a case together in early Season 2 and she was determined to save his life was amazing. That speech she gave him at the end about "the real danger being Gunn himself" and the way he lived his life was so eye-opening for Gunn. You could see how grateful he was. |
Added both of you :D
First Impressions is so good for them, I love how annoyed Gunn is that Cordelia's come to 'save' him & the way they bicker throughout it  But then they do reach an understanding at the end, I love how she made it her mission to save him from himself & I think she succeeded  |

Thanks for reminding me of the episode title :high_five: One of the best episodes. Gunn and Cordy's little smiles to each other in the end spoke volumes. A shared understanding and he doesn't see her as a "stick figure barbie" anymore :D  |
Yeah, they made so much progress in what was actually quite a short amount of time. When the demon showed up & Gunn told Cordy to leave but she refused to - I think that was a big moment for them in that it made Gunn realize how strong Cordy actually is & he had a lot of respect for her after that :sigh:
|
Absolutely! She wouldn't leave his side the entire night, no matter how many times he tried to order her away  :pirate:
|
Yeah, they kept arguing about it, but she just wasn't going to go - no matter how dangerous it got
|
At a convention  (the middle actress is Clare Kramer, who played Glory; she, Julie Benz and Charisma are best friends in real life) |
Aww, love that pic!
I always like to pretend that all the characters are still alive & together, continuing the fight against evil :D |

I find it so funny that Cordy, Darla and Glory are real-life BFFs because they have such similar character traits   J ages like fine wine  I still don't know what to think about the ANGEL series finale. You could tell that it was the consequence of Joss having to quickly wrap up the show when it was prematurely cancelled. He had plans for Season 6 that went to waste. I was already devastated that Cordy was gone forever, then they went and killed Wes and Gunn :bawl: :whip: |
Charisma & Julie being so close always makes me wish that we got more Cordy/Darla scenes - & now I wish that Glory had somehow made an appearance on Agel too
& J does still look so good! :thud: I have mixed feelings about the finale too, but I do kinda feel like it sums up the show - it's about fighting, even if you can't win  & I know it's completely illogical, but we didn't see Gunn actually die, so in my mind, he survived  |
I do appreciate the message - that it's open ended because "it's important to keep fighting" It was just so bleak that I was kind of shocked. I remember being stunned when Lorne killed Lindsey.
Didn't Illyria say to Gunn "you don't have long left?" Poor Gunn. I think his forthcoming death was pretty much implied, right there. The sad thing is that it had already been a tough year for Gunn. He was still blaming himself for Fred's death. Also, I don't think the group ever moved on from Cordy's death. |
Yeah, I think Gunn was pretty close to death, but I like living in denial
I do feel so bad for Gunn in s5, I feel like he had pretty much lost most of his will to live by the end of it  |
Season 5 depressed the hell out of me  :irked: I wasn't sure it would even be worth watching still after they killed Cordy. The Angel puppet episode was hilarious! Then they held Gunn inadvertently responsible for Fred's death by allowing the sarcophagus into Wolfram & Hart, and he spends the rest of the season either suicidal or being treated like the odd one out by the rest of the group  He basically has the same role that Wesley had in Season 3 after he kidnapped Connor.
|
It was pretty depressing, if you're a Gunn fan though you should check out his thread - I just put a new OP in there with his whole story arc on the show ;)
I wish Cordy could have been there for more than 1 ep, she had that hug with Gunn & they didn't get any other moments :( |

Great! I'll come over :gone: Quote:
We were totally deprived of Cordy/Gunn in S5 :hammer_head: That one shared moment where she thought he was "prematurely bald" was cute though :lmao: :innocent: |
