Yes it was! If Wesley never interferes, do you believe he could've changed her during the Sunnydale days?

For me, I'd say I'm not sure. Ironically 'Consequences' episode is the first episode where we saw Faith form an alliance with the Major, and that's pretty much when everything went downhill, as far as Faith being on the side of good or evil. Angel had the conversation with her before that.
I think it would've been more difficult, I believe during the Five By Five episode, Faith hit the lowest point of her life, she was just rock-bottomed, she had no one and regardless of her past, there was this one person who gave her a chance while be realistic to her that this wasn't going to be a easily path, the rocky path to redemption never is.

I just for some reason, feel Angel couldn't really get through to Faith if Buffy was still somehow in the middle.

He needed to do it alone.

Idk, I kind of feel like Faith had to hit rock bottom before she could turn things around. Even without what happened with that guy she killed, I think she would have gone done that dark path for a while, even with Buffy & the scoobies around her

I feel the same, I feel like she really had to hit that point she did in Sanctuary before she was able to turn it around and start letting people in, letting them help her. I think the way her story played out was perfectly done and had wonderful meaning.

I don't know.

That's a very tough one for me, cause before she killed the guy, her relationship with Buffy was growing very stronger, if anything... Buffy was the one changing a bit to the dark side. Even skipping school during the middle of the test... the killing of the guy changed everything for the worst.
I think without that killing, she wouldn't have went completely to that darkness. Even when we watch that Sanctuary episode, see her flashing back to the moment where she killed that man. That's the moment that really ticked everything towards the wrong path.

I do think that was obviously a key moment for her, but the way she was heading, even if she hadn't killed him - I think it was only going to be a matter of time before something just as bad was going to happen anyway

Yeah... although we never really know, I can see how you can see it. It does seem like she was headed to the wrong path, sadly.
