I don't know either. If she'd stayed during s4, it would have been way too soon after Angel/Cordy, it just wouldn't have been believeable. But if the show had gone on for a few more years, I could see it happening....

It was! I think that's one of my fave things about it. It wasn't a huge part of the episode that the whole story rested on, they didn't make a big deal about Faith showing up. It was a more quiet, peaceful moment. Just to see that Angel hadn't forgotten her & he wasn't going to

I agree, one thing I liked with the Angel series is that they tried not to spoil those surprise returns. They did it with Dru in "the Trail" episode as well and thankfully they did not! They had her name appear AFTER the episode ended, in the ending credits.

Like for the Buffy episode, "Forever" they showed David Boreanaz showing up as a guest star... so whoever was paying close attention would have seen that... the surprise returns are better.

And it was just a great simple moment to remember the Faith/Angel friendship and how Angel did not just forget about Faith once she went to prison! I know it had to make Faith so happy since she probably never expected any visitors.

I'm glad I wasn't spoiled about those things too - but not sure how much luck they would have with things like that if there were on air now

& you're right, Angel was probably the only person who visited her, except for a lawyer - it was probably always the highlight of her week/month

It would have....that would have been interesting, I wonder if Angel would have tried to cover up his dark side. He could have done with a Faith talk then, because I'm sure that she would have called him out on it
