I'm neutral on Angel/Buffy but I think it's insulting to even compare them with Spike/Buffy. The latter was a bizarre obsession and an abusive, toxic sexual thing. I can easily believe Angel and Buffy will always love each other. With Spike and Buffy he was pretending a mannequin was her, stealing her clothes and panties, made a robot of her, got off on making her feel low when she was depressed about dying, and almost raped her (even calling Buffy a b*tch after that attempted rape) I think it's crazy to compare the two pairings. Buffy's relationship was Angel was pure and loving, with Spike it was abusive and destructive. It was pretty much a drug addiction. Spike was fine with being used cause he settled for whatever he could get, and Buffy was depressed and lost. I'll never believe Spike and Buffy loved each other and after recently rewatching the series and seeing S6 again, I still feel that way. I know people like what they like but I'll never get the appeal of Spuffy *gags* Then again, I usually don't ship abusive relationships. I've always been glad SMG feels the same way.
