Same for me. I think that between the magic and Tara, Willow kind of pulled apart from the rest of the group.

I think in the high school seasons Buffy was closer to Willow, simply because Willow was a girl like her, easier to talk to, and Willow was supportive of Buffy's relationship with Angel, and that also made it easier to connect with her more than Xander.

However, as S6 kicked, with Willow bringing Buffy back and going evil, Buffy became closer to Xander, especially after he'd admitted that he wasn't a good friend to her when it came to the whole Spike thing, and they formed a bond over the summer. Obviously in S7, she was way closer to Xander than Willow, trusted him more with Dawn than Willow.

And you can see how their friendship developed more and more in S8.

Good Xander/Buffy episodes/scenes:

1- Prophecy Girl, while Xander didn't take Buffy's rejection well, he forgot all about it the second he knew she was in danger and was the one who saved her life.

2- When She Was Bad/Inca Mummy Girl: These episodes go together because in the first Buffy acknowledges that Xander saved her but doesn't say thank you, in the second one they have a moment in the end of the episode where she finally appreciates him for saving her life.

3- Bad Eggs: Xander and Buffy are the only ones not affected and team up to save the rest.

4- Phases: Xander saving and comforting Buffy after she was attacked by a vampire sent from Angelus.

5- Killed by Death: Xander carrying Buffy to the hospital. Xander standing up to Angelus to save Buffy. Also, being with her when she killed the monster, and almost collapsed.

These are a few scenes, I'll think of others later.

This was one of my favorite moments, especially because Angel was there and he couldn't do a thing about it, only Xander could. Through this, they share a bond that she doesn't have with anyone else.

Joss said in the PG commentary that Xander was the better choice for Buffy, but her hearts chose Angel. Hearts don't go for logic. I loved that.

I think at first she might be opposed to it, but if they were really happy I think she'd be ok. She loves them both, and they are some of the most important people in her life, so I think that eventually she'd come around.

I'm really bad with episode names, so for these next two questions, I'll have to describe it and hope you know what I'm talking about!

I would say their most intimate conversation would be the one right before for Buffy and Tara were shot in season 6.

Definitely in season 2, when she was under the spell. Or season 1, when he was a Hyena. But those wouldn't be real kisses, so a kiss probably could have fallen somewhere in the 7th season, maybe Chosen when they were parting.

Most intimate conversation Xander and Buffy have had? I am actually going to say the scene in the library when Buffy was under the love spell. Why couldn't that be real?

Buffy might be opposed because she treats Dawn like her daughter sometimes but if she saw how much they truly cared for each other, she'd accept it. She'd still be freaked out about the thought of them together :lol;

Which episode(s) in the TV series could have accommodated a Xander/Buffy kiss? BB&B if we're talking about a romantic kiss. I could see her kissing him platonically in the end of Seeing Red.
