Themetically, s5 was by far the best season imo

Season 5 is one of the most well put together seasons by far, honestly I rank this and Season 3 as being the 'tightest' in terms of storytelling.

I agree, the arc is so clear from start to finish & they get Buffy to that place where she needs to be when she chooses to jump perfectly

It also does a good job of expanding on some characters. Tara gets some significant development in 'Family', and we get a Xander-centric episode with 'The Replacement.'

S5 is definitely one of it not my MOST FAVORITE SEASON

But it´s mine It was also the first season I ever watched.
Glory was such a great villain (I also say that because actress Clare Kramer is so sweet in real life and she did such a wonderful job with that role IMO. I love it when actors play a role that is so not her/him)

The introduction of Dawn was nice too. I loved her :"Yeah, Mom, I'm not going to Hogwarts." (That was in "Real Me")

Too bad she didn`t she would have been a great Gryfffindor or Ravenclaw

Oh and the Willow/Tara story And Anya/Xander.

The Magic Box was a nice shop.

It's not one of my favorites, but I like it more than S6 and 7 I guess (It also has the same depressing feeling as S6) The writing for Joyce's tumor was good but I hate that she passes away this season. The Gift was one of their best finales though, and it still makes me cry every time when Buffy jumps into that energy portal and you hear her speech to Dawn, then they show her grave *wails*

I loved season 5 from beginning to the end because the story arc was just terrific. I wasn't a big fan of Dawn however I did like how her appearance was handled! I like that she was a key and not just the sister who came out of no where that none of the audience remember. lol

Well I prefered Season 5 Dawn over Season 6 Dawn.
And I loved Buffys line when she said Glory kinda looks like Cordelia
