The Prom is an emotional rollercoaster IMO but it's absolute

I think both Buffy and Angel had come to the same conclusion prior to this episode but were in denial until Angel makes the decision to end things. It was the saddest break-up ever Especially when Buffy was with Willow.

The doodle was cute and a softer side of Buffy that we forget she has because of her slayerness. She did want the true love, kids and a white picket fence at one time.

I always cry when Jonathan reads his speech about Buffy, it's great to know that even if the adults in Sunnydale were oblivious the students weren't.

That dance at the end.... so much Amazing song as well.

It's a great episode from someone that I would have never expected it from.

Sure she wants that and that is totally understandable since almost everyone wants that but I don't know...that doodle thing is more fitting for a 15 year old

You mean Marti Noxon? I always thought that she was a good writer but not the best executive producer if that makes sense

I understand.

I agree. As an executive producer, she used too much of her life/fantasies in the show and it became less about Joss's vision and more about what she wanted. I think Jane or David would have been better executive producers.

Well Season 3 is my favorite season. Here are some things that I like about the season, Principal Snyder on Band Candy, BUffy and Angel, Spike, Buffy, and Angel fighting all those vampires in Lover's Walk, Xander and Cordy, Buffy hearing thoughts in Earshot, the Mayor spoiling Faith, and I think that's pretty much it.

I understood Xander/Willow even if I didn't really like it.

Willow had been in love with him for years. He was the person she had always been closest to. She wanted to be his girlfriend for years. It broke her heart when she found out he'd rather be with someone he disliked than to be with her. She tried to jump into kissing Oz out of jealousy of Xander with Cordy. She knew Xander's body temperature and planned their wedding and yearned for him almost the way he yearned for Buffy (his is different since he also idolized Buffy).

With Xander, he finally saw what he was missing. He nearly kissed her in the S2 premiere but then Buffy came back and he was obsessed with her again. But then Oz became interested in Willow and it made Xander curious about what he was noticing and experiencing with Willow that he hadn't. He missed being her center of attention and it being them against everyone else. The final thing that made him want to really explore his new feelings for Willow was her coma. When he told her he loved her and she thinks it's Oz because that is who has always seen her as beautiful and sexy and important.

For Willow it was like being willing to sacrifice a great thing for the chance to chase a dream you've had most of your life but thought would never come true. For Xander it was not wanting to miss out on everything that was an option.
