i got the DVDs on Thursday night

they r great! i love the commentaries

there r 7 of them. i have watched the commentaries for Lessons, Selfless, CWDP and The Killer In Me.
i have watched the episodes up to and including The Killer In Me. i am pacing myself this time. not rushing through the episodes like i did for S6 and all the previous seasons the 1st time i watched each season on DVD.

i have also watched every featurette except for the Season 7 Overview - "Buffy: Full Circle" featurette.

the Easter Egg is really lame. it is the "Previously on Buffy..." montage from "The Gift". how can that qualify as an easter egg? i know the people in the US didn't get that on their version of the DVDs, but i thought it was going to be something good. the Easter Egg is on disc 6, in the Special Features section. to access it highlight any of the entries on the Featurettes menu and press left on ur remote. a hidden Buffy "B" will appear. press enter and the Easter Egg will play.

the Outtakes Reel is pretty funny. Nicky sneezes and there is a whole lot of laughing as usual

on the commentary for The Killer In Me David Solomon says that the Grrr Arrgh! monster was made by Joss. and he [David] is the one who makes it move. i thought that was quite interesting.

Danny Strong and Tom Lenk r on the commentary for CWDP. they don't say that much but what they do say is funny. Tom says something about the Star Wars reference (the scene where they r in Sunnydale High), about the composer of the music for that part, how u can almost hear the bam, bam, bam ba bam of the Star Wars theme.
Jane Espenson and.... i think David Solomon r also on this commentary

i haven't been able to view the Willow "Demon Guide" yet since i haven't got my replacement DVD/CD-RW drive back yet

the "Buffy: It's Always Been About the Fans" featurette was pretty good. it showed a bunch of Buffy fans having a party. i can't believe that the fans actually throw a party for the writers and directors and stuff. i was surprised when i heard Jane Espenson say that.

the trailers r pretty much the same as on previous box sets. except for one. the Buffy Chaos Bleeds game trailer. it is pretty cool. even though i haven't played it yet, it looks cool

the other featurettes r pretty good too. although once again they r too short. the wrap party is the best one IMO. it shows every one having a good time. Emma says an Anya-esque line. "thank you Joss for putting words in my mouth"

i think i'll shut up now since i don't want to give too much away. it will spoil the thrill of watching the extras urself for the 1st time.

i am going to go backwards as far as purching the dvds. i have season 1, but now i want season 6 and 7.
