Yeah, that was one thing. But I also think that he just felt rotten bad for getting shut out. For getting such a clear message that she didnt need him and didnt want to lean on him, even when she needed somebody.

Buffy didn't seem to want to lean on anyone during that time. If he truly knew her as well as he should have, then he would have seen that. He might not have taken it so personally.

Oh I forgot to comment on the vid. I watched it yesterday and really loved it.

It actually brought some of my BR love back.

For some reason Buffy/Riley are really growing on me.

Aside from WTWA I actually liked them.

I just felt so bad for Riley because she was never going to love him like he loved her. But I actually was rooting for her to catch him before he left.

I have conflicted views on BR. But overall they were a good enough couple and Riley really did love her. And I do believe that Buffy loved him in a way but it wasn't what he needed or deserved. I'm glad that they got closure.

I pretty much agree. I remember when I watched the show, before getting too caught up in ships and in the fandom itself I actually really did like BR. I don't think they were right for each other but they did have some very sweet moments. And like you said I'm glad he was able to come back in S6.

i thik joss whedon is a genuis so i like pretty much every ship (except willow/kennedy)

but i think that BR weren't right for each other, but there were together at a very important time in their lives & i think they did genuinely love each other but it just wasn't enough. But look at how far Riley came with Buffy, especially in new moon rising, and Buffy got to experience a completely different kind of relationship - and it also got her to take a chance on a guy after what happened with Angel and I think she really needed that

Buffy needed to try "normal" and he was as normal as Joss could give her
