And what Angelus did vs Spike did is really no comparison.
What Spike did was horrible but he did that TO BUFFY after such a toxic relationship but he didn't kill her friends/family.

With Angelus, most of what he did affect GILES THE MOST!
What Spike did impact Buffy but he still was soulless and it was Buffy's decision to forgive him or not.


Angelus killed the love of Giles' life and got his vampires to kidnap Giles for he can be tortured by Dru! and he got tortured by Angelus himself.

There is literally no need for Spike to even be discussed when it comes to Angelus' actions during season 2.

What Angelus did TO Giles vs what Spike did TO GILES is no comparison seeing as how Spike didn't really do much to hurt Giles at all.
