Can anyone tell what Buffy is drawing in her notebook while she is sitting in the Magic Box at the beginning of OMWF?

I can't really tell what it is. It sort of reminds me of the end of The Gift when she jumps into the portal.

Since it's all dark around with the light in the middle. And I could sort of make out something like a platform like the one she and Dawn were on and rubble all around but I could just be making that up.

It would go with the theme of the episode so.

It looks really dark. Poor Buffy.

Either she was getting her thoughts and emotions out on paper or she was creating a graphic novel.

At least we can add her to the list of BtVS characters that have drawn something. I wonder if it had words in it. I paused it and had it on zoom and made my sister try to figure it out too and I still have no idea.

I think it's what she was feeling at the time. She was dark inside, she felt nothing. I mean she was telling Giles she didn't know if she could love and all that stuff.

She could have just been doodling and then decided to color the whole page dark, I've done that as well.

I thought there were words or letters up at the top but it's just too blurry or something to figure out what's on there.

I'm surprised that the JW had her do that and then didn't explain it in the commentary or anything.

Maybe. I just thought it was interesting how a lot of the MOTW, patrolling scenes, and demons/vamps/forces of darkness led to dirty jokes, references, and symbolism. But then even Buffy's stake is a phallic symbol.
