Buffy: Empowered or Trapped?
I am writing a thesis that investigates if female heroines are simultaneously empowered and trapped by their fighting skills. Buffy excels at being “The Chosen One,” but it means she can’t live the “normal” life of a teenager. Do you think Buffy is truly independent and autonomous because she is a slayer and a deadly fighter?
