BTVS - Season 1 : Top 3

I saw a similair thread once a long while back, but that was about the top 10 best Buffy episodes, I think. So, I got this idea, I could post all the episode titles of season 1 here, and then we could vote and see which episodes are the 3 most loved ones of that season and then do it for all the seasons, and then I could do the math at the end and see which ones make the top 10 best episodes ever list.

So, here are the titles :

1. Welcome To The Hellmouth
2. The Harvest
3. The Witch
4. Teacher's Pet
5. Never Kill A Boy On The First Date
6. The Pack
7. Angel
8. I, Robot... You, Jane
9. The Puppet Show
10. Nightmares
11. Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight
12. Prophecy Girl

Cool thanks, Teacher's Pet is really your third favorite ? What do you like so much about that episode ?

I'd have to say I like Teacher's Pet for the Xander parts mostly Also, I like the reverse of roles where the little blonde girl (who is Superman now) saves the dark-haired, tall boy (the damsel in distress).

My top three are:

1. Prophecy Girl
2. The Pack
3. Nightmares

I agree with that, I do, but I don't know, there's just something about that episode that throws me off in some way. I've seen it a lot, at least 5 times and I must say that I really don't like it.

I like that it's the beginning of Xander's misfortune with demon women It was actually a tie between Teacher's Pet and The Pack which are both Xander driven episodes. I find them both to be entertaining and comedic which is how I like my BTVS.

True, very true, but then I would've chosen The Pack, because it was entertaining and comedic, yet somewhat dramatic in a disturbing way also.

Burning Up A Sun

Can I just pick one? Or just two. I don't really like season 1 all that much. If I have to pick three I guess they would be

1. Nightmares
2. Welcome to the Hellmouth
3. Prophecy Girl

That's why Teacher's Pet won. The Pack was a darker episode that used humour to try to cover up some of the disturbing parts.

you liked Nightmares more than Prophecy Girl ? Why ? And if you could only pick one, why would it be Nightmares ? And I know what you mean, season 1 isn't the best season, but there are some good episodes in that season, episodes I really like, and some I really don't like, like robot episode with Willow, eww, I think that's my least favorite episode of all.

I don't like Teacher's Pet because I don't like insects and the teacher was not that attractive so I couldn't buy that all the young guys where attracted to her. I did like Buffy's encounter with the claw vamp and that whole part, but otherwise one of my least favorite.

My Favorites:

I get what you're saying, I didn't find the teacher attractive at all, but because she was a giant whatever insect, she spreaded out these feremones or something that made guys want to want her

Plus she was an older woman who "wanted" them.

I couldn't decide to whether put Angel or Out of Mind, Out of Sight for #3, but overall Angel takes the cake.
