Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Betrayers #2: Who betrayed Buffy the most/worse?

Julius Caesar and Brutus, Jesus and Judas, there have always been friendships that have managed to endure, or are unable to survive, very real and severe betrayals.

The Core Four. The Scooby Gang and their significant others. Those that Buffy considers her "nearest and dearest". Almost every single person she's loved and trusted has betrayed her. Repeatedly.

Who takes the cake as the horribly habitually back-stabbing buddy?

I honetly don't know. I guess Giles is the worse, because Buffy's relationship with him was strained the most after his last betrayal.

Faith was the most obvious and hurtful betrayal, however Empty Places takes the cake.

It surely was. Angelus was more of a danger to her friends than her, seeing as his plan was hurting her by killing her friends. He tried to kill Willow the second he lost his soul, he tried to kill Xander and leave his body at Buffy's door in BB&B, he'd killed Jenny, scared Joyce, and tortured Giles.

I would be royally pissed off if I'd known that Buffy was hiding him all that time. Not only that, but also kissing him after all that happened.

I thought it was a betrayal but I lost all sympathy for the others with the way they handled the confrontation. Well except for Giles.
