Reasons to love Buffy/Faith:

When Faith's Watcher died she traveled across country to seek out Buffy
Buffy ran outside to save Faith from “Disco Dave”

Buffy was too embarassed to admit that slaying makes her hungry and horny
Faith and Buffy both lost their first Watchers in the fight against evil
Buffy invited Faith over to her house for dinner

Faith tried to make Buffy think that all men are beasts

Faith knew that the Scythe belonged to Buffy and not her
Buffy sat down on the bed with Faith and comforted her
Faith told Buffy that she finally realizes how hard Buffy has had it
Buffy let Faith stay sleeping in her bed while she took the basement
Faith defended Buffy and her crazy but brilliant plans to Wood
Buffy gave Faith the Scythe when she thought that she was dying

I'm sure the previous mods must've had their reasons. But I'm glad you guys approve of this thread!!

Faith/Buffy is one of the most unique dynamics of the series imo and it would be a shame not to have a place to discuss it.

I don't ship them, per say, I just really appreciate their messed up friendship. And this thread is mostly focused on that aspect, but for all the people who like them as a possible couple, I don't see why we can't discuss it here as well.

That's why I wasn't too specific in the OP, so we can join in the FB loving regardless of what type of loving that is.

Too bad it didn't last nearly long enough.

I always picture them mending their friendship after the end of the series. Idk, the biggest issue between those two was that they came from entirely too different backgrounds, they went through very different life experiences and the only thing they had in common back then was being a slayer. But now, after everything Buffy went through and all the good and mature decisions Faith made, I feel like by the end of the story they were more on the 'same level' you know? They'd probably get along much better now imo.

They were one of those contrasts that Joss likes to put into the show. Light/Dark, Good/Evil, etc.

That's how I feel about the two of them two! Their scenes were so intense & full of mixed emotions, it was really just fascinating to watch
