It definitely reminded us of some of the complications in their relationship, wish the writers had gotten into it a bit more after that episode too though

Yeah, it didn't come up very often at all... so you'd think they'd moved on from it because there's literally been no issue, & then suddenly you get an episode like That Old Gang of Mine

I guess it was stuff hidden under the surface.

I'm not sure if it was though, they were like family to each other, they fought side by side so much. I do really think that Gunn had moved on from the his vampire issues when it came to Angel, the writers just brought them back up for no reason

For me I don't think Gunn truly moved on from it, I just felt it was more writers not mentioning it... 2x08 ""The Shroud of Rahmon" again went at how much issues Gunn was having taking orders since he was his own leader and Angel was a vamp and all. And then again the arc became about the team getting pushed aside for Angel so there was never any time to dwell on Gunn's side... and then season 2 ends with one of Gunn's crew members (friends) dying in the hands of a vampire and his team feeling let down over their leader Gunn never being around.
So, I don't see that as Gunn moving on, I see that more as the writers pushing Gunn to the background so much where we don't get his point of view... |

I felt like he did move on from Angel being a vampire - he obviously still had a problem with vampires, & always would. But he understood what Angel was, & I didn't think he held it against him anymore. I think the conflict that Gunn never really moved on from was taking orders from Angel, & then Wesley. He did follow a lot of the time, but I think that was always an issue for him, & would have been more likely to contribute to conflict between Angel & Gunn than Angel being a vampire imo

For me, I felt it was more of the writers pushing Gunn's point of view to the back for a bit so we were suppose to believe it went away.... so I'm 50/50 on it. lol

Loved Gunn for pointing out the possibilities there.

Me too, even though it was hard for Angel to hear, somebody had to say it

It was, & something as huge as two vampires having a baby... you've got to assume that that was more likely to be a bad thing than a good thing

^ Yep which was why when they found out the baby was human, it was such a shocker.

Yeah, that was such a good twist - & how he was born too
& as soon as Connor was born, Gunn was completely supportive of him __________________
