Yeah, but s5 overall lacked in the friendships & group dynamic that had made the show so strong in the first place imo

Agreed, although I liked S5. I disliked the friendships that were missing. I think I knew it was going to happen once the whole mind wipes and moving to Wolfram & Hart.
Although I think friendships really stopped getting written mid season 3....

I did like season 5 too, Spike was a great addition imo & the episode arcs were as good as they'd ever been. Why We Fight is probably one of my fave eps ever, but overall the main characters were just very seperated, all in their own factions of W&H, & it just kinda felt like something was missing

I agree everything was missing. I do think if it was a season 6 though, things would have kind of went back to normal... kind of...

Yeah, I think that season 5 for the fang gang was kind of the equivalent of season 4 for the scoobies when they all grew apart because of college etc. They were all working on their own things, but had started to come back together towards the end of the season, I'm sure things would have got better had there been a s6

It's tough to know if it would've been the same. There was no more Cordy & Fred, and then Wesley was dealing with his death? if the show returned, he probably would've got relieved... but yeah. I'm not sure what would've happened to the gang if there was a Season 6.

I'm relooking at this thread title, and I can actually hear Gunn saying this to Angel in my head. lol
