I can't really remember my first impression of Warzone & those s1 eps, so idk

But I think so, I think I really loved the comedy that Gunn brought, the way he clashed with the other characters, but still fit with them in some way too

I agreed.
I liked them from the beginning... because it was cool to see a friendship formed between two individuals that you would never expect to be friends. Especially with Gunn hatred... well need to kill vampires to survive. Then a vamp turned his sister, so it just brought another problem into their relationship. I love how during S1, Angel and Gunn just contact each other for help... but they didn't really work together. lol Gunn just knew Angel, not everyone else.

Yeah, it was nice seeing Angel have to go to Gunn to help & not just Gunn always needing his help too

& I love how out of that they were able to build a friendship

Agreed, if you have to pick a favorite season of their friendship, which season is it? Without a doubt it's Season 2 to me........ well early season 2 that is. lol

Yeah, that's right

& they had good moments in s4 & s5 too. Like after everything with Fred dying & Gunn choosing to stay in the hell dimension, he & Angel had an understanding when it came to atonement.
