Was anyone else annoyed that the writers tried to turn Gunn's legit feelings about vampires and demons into a racist thing in that S3 ep? As if not liking demons that eat babies is the same as being in the KKK?

I feel so stupid because I never saw that as a metaphor for racism, need to rewatch that ep now!

I really hated when Angel put on his vamp face and made it a thing in that ep since he knew that Gunn's only sibling, his little sister, had been murdered and sired and damned/turned evil by vampires/vampirism. He had to stake her! The fact that he left the people he used to lead to work for Angel and even live in the same building as him showed how much he respected and valued Angel's friendship. Angel had no right to act as if him having a problem with vampires was an affront to him. When Angel didn't have a soul he was evil and raped and tortured and murdered.

How did Gunn find out about Buffy? He did know about her prior to her death, right? I was just thinking about the scene when he says that Buffy and Cordy says not to use the B word and he continues with "The B word was the love of his life. And that's not a short life."

What are your favorite Angel/Gunn moments?

I love Angel/Gunn friendship, it was so unique and different that it made it one of my favorite. Like with Angel/Gunn were the team going after Darla in S2. And during S1, Gunn hated vampire but they worked together!

I just love their interaction.

I loved the season 3 where Gunn and some of his old gang friends had showed up to kill - Gunn and Angel went through a tough patch but understood each other and went on ahead

I really liked their scenes in War Zone when they were first getting to know each other - Gunn being slower to trust Angel than the other members of AI at first (and for understandable reasons) but the two of them developing a mutual trust and respect as they get to know one another better.

I like their friendship after Gunn joins the team too, but I really liked how equal their relationship was in season 1 and early season 2, with Gunn as an outside ally who had his own life but who Angel trusted and would turn to for help.

I love how it started between these two at first too, I mean Gunn became one of the people who Angel wanted to save & not in a physical way, but at the same time Gunn was able to off Angel help too. I love how quickly Gunn was able to get over the fact he was a vampire considering how much he hated them & was helping them just one ep later!

I really wasn't happy that Gunn was turn into a vampire...but I liked how he dealt with it

That was a tough episode as a Angel/Gunn fan.;( I'm happy they overcame it and I'm happy the episode happened because they did address the issue. Gunn really was against the vamps when he first came into the show, and now he's saving demons and everything. BUT I like how they overcame it.

yeah, I didn't like that ep, even the way it ended.....things just weren't all wrapped up nicely, which I know was kind of the point, because sometimes things can't be. But when Gunn said Angel will never be his friend....that's just not true. They were so clearly friends!

Yeah I know, it was hard to see but looking back at Gunn during Season 1, you do have to wonder if it's tough on him. He wants to kill vamps but one of his closest allies is a vamp, it must have been tough and during some episodes we saw how difficult it was. I'm just glad they overcame that...

Yeah, I think Gunn gets a hard time for that really, because considering how vampires had never been over anything but villains to him, he let go of that & began to trust Angel pretty quickly considering.

I know, it's surprising how quickly he became allies with Angel, because he killed vamps and all. Did you like Gunn with his crew?

Not really in warzone, but I could understand why Gunn acted the way that he did, but I did enjoy him & the crew a lot more when they became kinda like comic relief - like when the guy thinks they're going to mug him & they save him from all the vampires! :lol:

But then I just wanted him with Angel's crew :love:
