Knowing he can never be truly happy and watching him sacrifice so much throughout the show is super depressing. I always feel so bad foe Angel.

He never gives up though! And he'll always try and do what's right. Especially when it comes to helping people.

He doesn't do it for himself, & doesn't really know if he can ever truly earn redemption, but he tries anyway because he doesn't want people to suffer
