I nearly laughed out loud at some of those Spangel things. I guess if they are going to be sharing Buffy they will eventually sleep together too. If they haven't already.

You'll have to find them yourself since they are too sexualized for me to be copying them into my photo albums in a public area (computer lab).

I was just thinking about this scene from AtS S5's Sole Purpose. It is really too bad they couldn't get SMG to be in the season. This scene would have been priceless!

(Angel feverish in bed, suddenly realizes he's not alone in it. He turns his head to see Spike's entertaining an enthusiastic lady friend of the blond persuasion)

ANGEL: Spike?

SPIKE: (to Angel) Keep it down, mate. You've got something on your shirt there.

(still unseen, we hear Buffy speak, her lines looped from season 3, the Prom)

BUFFY: Every time I say the word prom, you get grouchy.

ANGEL: Buffy?

SPIKE: (to Angel) Won't be long now.

ANGEL: You're taking Buffy to the prom?

BUFFY: (her face hidden) Can you say jumping the gun? I killed my goldfish.

ANGEL: I thought we were going to—

SPIKE: (to Angel) Shh. I can't be a marathon man with all your yammering.

(Angel is horrified. He suddenly awakens, mercifully alone in his bed.)

I thought the idea of the scene was great. Execution could have been better. But then that was to be expected since it was without SMG.

Do you mean the Angel v. Spike arc? Or the Eve has Angel trapped in dreamworld arc? (kind of reminds me of what Amy did to Buffy in S8)

True but the whole Shanshu thing annoyed the hell out of me and it reduced Angel and Spike to looking like children. And not in the funny amusing way that I appreciate but in the angry and hurtful way in which they spoke to each other.

In seemed in character to me. They had a lot of unresolved and very strong negative emotions towards each other. The quest for the cup/Shanshu was what it took for them to let it all out. Buffy and Faith needed an episode where they could really get into their past and relationship.
