Definitely not, that whole are was pretty genius as it really pushed his character along, even though it was hard to watch at times

The layers that AD was allowed to portray as well is just amazing! Such a great journey we got to watch him go on from Buffy to the ending of Angel.

It is, I never would have seen a journey like that coming, or really paying off, but both the writing & his acting really sold it
