There's a lot of accents like that German in particular is one that comes to mind

I don't notice the German ones as much, but that might only because there aren't as many German actors on American TV.

Glen's one of those actors that you get used to hearing speak in a certain accent for a while, ex. Angel, and then when you hear them talk differently, it really blows your mind

He was pretty unrecognizable from Roseanne to Angel, though. I feel like you'd never actually make the connection unless you know it was him.

That is some fantastic art, and pretty much sums up the awesomeness that is Doyle. I'm surprised and pleased by all the Doyle love. The character only had nine episodes and didn't have enough time to make us to love him, but somehow did.

It's funny, I actually discovered Glenn on Roseanne first. I heard he was Irish, but he did a good American accent. I watched him on Angel and was completely shocked by Irish accent. Now, whenever I watch Roseanne, I get shocked by his American accent and thinking it's so weird to hear him talk like that (even after being a fan of the show for years). I noticed in one episode where Mark was drunk, Glenn's accent kind of slipped.

It just goes to show how much of an impact Glenn and his character made in such a short period of time He's honestly my favorite of the characters that were born out of Angel getting his own spin-off show.

It does show that you can have an huge impact with a little bit of time.
Doyle was just a very likable character.

I constantly forget that he was only in 9 episodes. He had a lasting impact on me as a viewer, not to mention Angel and Cordy onscreen, that carried throughout the series. Before GQ passed away, I was always watching and waiting and hoping for Doyle's return.

When you're watching the series early on, it doesn't seem like it's been nine episodes, ya know? You get so involved with the characters that it hardly seems like you've been watching it that long.

I know. it would've been better for me if he wasn't such a great likable character, but he was and his character will forever be one of my favorite in the BTVerse.
