Reiko was also in a Scope commercial.

She once injured her head quite severely at an after-party for "24". Kiefer Sutherland was the one who took care of her and made sure she was rushed to the hospital.

She dated Kiefer Sutherland.

'24' won the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama in January of 2004. Reiko accompanied Kiefer Sutherland, Elisha Cuthbert, Dennis Haysbert and the show's producers on stage to collect the award.

I didn't know a lot about The Forgotten, so I went to look for some info, and found out they're recasting another actress in what was Reiko's role. Too bad.
I read the news on TV Guide (here), but their Mega Buzz column also reports that Reiko could have scored a recurring role in the sci-fi series Stargate Universe (here is the update).

Well she was is the pilot episode ,that has yet to air, so not sure what happened .

Dam that will be the 2nd new show not picked up or change in actress. CBS had a comedy with Sasha Alexander, formerly of NCIS, but that show didn't get picked up .

I guess they didn't think Reiko was cut for the role afterall, or that they could get someone more popular, now that the series has received the green light.
They're also recasting the lead character, who was originally played by Rupert Penry-Jones.

Fran it is all about the money . When she was in 24 she was paid $150,000. a episode .

If they can hire new actors at base pay it saves the network

I still believe it's possible they want more recognizable/popular faces now that the pilot has been picked up, and that was more important than acting skills or money issues. I was reading the other day that the main lead, who should have been played by Ruper Penry-Jones, is now portrayed by Christian Slater, and I doubt he's less expensive than the British actor.

Upcoming SGU episode “Life”

Actress Reiko Aylesworth has been cast in a key guest role in an upcoming episode of Stargate Universe, consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi revealed (blog). The actress will play Sharon, Camille Wray’s long-time life partner back on Earth, in the episode “Life.”

The 38-year-old Chicago native plays Michelle Dessler on Fox’s hit action series 24. Fans of ABC’s LOST will also recognize her as Amy Goodspeed, a DHARMA member who gave birth to a baby in the recent fifth season. Her acting credits also include The West Wing, C.S.I., and a recurring role on ER.

Aylesworth’s “touching turn as Sharon proves alternately uplifting and heart-rending,” Mallozzi said of the episode. “Great casting.”

BTW for anoybody who may be curious - the role played by Reiko in the pilot of "The Forgotten" has been given to Heather Stephens in the new version.

She was a great access to the show.
