And Annie when you say you can't watch it, do you mean because it's like too scary for your taste or because the movie is suppose to be 'only for 18 years old and more' ? I asked because I didn't check if there was this kind of rating

Lots of 24 news coming out here is a interview done yesterday at fox Fall presentation with Kiefer !! A lot of the news was put ion spoiler board due to cast information .

Jack Bauer might seem super human at times but there is something even he can't do--travel from Africa to the United States within an hour.

Most series suffered from the writers' strike. This includes 24, which lost an entire year. However, because of this, the upcoming season could be the best ever, according to Kiefer Sutherland, who plays the iconic Jack.

The wish list for Season 7, Sutherland said, was to start a storyline in Africa, then finish it in Washington, D.C., the series' new base. "What we could never figure out was if we could disrupt the real time aspect of the show to get you out of Africa and back to the United States. We would literally have had to say, '16 hours later.' No one felt good about that. We ended up having to scrap that storyline, which we all loved."

Opportunity arose when the writers' strike wiped out the season. Rather than go almost two years without any 24, it was decided to do a prequel movie, which will air in November. "The prequel," Sutherland said, "is a fantastic opportunity to go to Africa and do that storyline and set up everything else. The conflict that starts in the prequel is the one that carries through the season," which will have its customary January launch of 24 uninterrupted episodes.

Lest he provide spoilers, Sutherland opted not to get into the storylines in depth.

The strike also gave 24 a luxury it has never had, time to pause and reflect in the midst of a season. The producers have been candid that they operate on the fly, usually starting a season not only not knowing how it was going to end but where it was going to be at the mid-point. However, ten episodes were completed before the strike and two more were shot afterwards. This afforded the writers all spring and summer to ponder where they were going to take the plots.

Sutherland is uncommonly proud of 24, as he should be, and says he takes criticisms of it to heart. But he didn't take exception to those that picked apart the disjointed nature of Season 6. "I thought Season 6 was one of our best but we did hit an issue that we've had before. There's generally two kinds of major conflicts within the context of a season. Transitioning from one conflcit that ends and moving into another has been the muddy area for us. Last season we struggled with that. This year, the thing that will allow us to fight that is it will be the first time we've been able to complete 24 episodes before one will air. This has allowed us to really work those episodes that are dangerous to us--13, 14, 15 and 16."

There has been constant talk of a big screen 24. It will happen, Sutherland said, but he is not anxious to see it occur. "We'll probably do the film when we stop doing the series."

He doesn't expect that to be any time soon. When the end finally does come, it won't be his doing, he promised. "I love doing this show. I'll keep doing this as long as people keep watching. I've always said the audience will dictate when it's time to stop."

For now, fans can't wait for it to continue.

That is the best quote Kiefer saying when 24 ends it won't be because he doesn't want to do it !!! 4 more years !!!
