I'm optimistic to think someone would've figured something out.
I find it hard to believe when Jack Bauer dies, no one else will be left to save the world.
If they can't save the world without Jack Bauer, no one should be employed.

She was a big part of the show, and Jack's humanity. But at some point he had to let her go and live her own life.

There's such a thing as being too overprotective. He said he gave her the job at CTU to keep her safe. But like she told him she took the job because she wanted it, not because of him.
