Immortals [Jack|Tony] #4 Together best team ever, even as foes still the best
 

Hm, I already explained why I like 24 while disliking Jack in another thread, just don´t remember which one. And if I remember correctly you even replied to that. But ok, I like 24 for the very interesting supporting characters, the drama, the relationships, the intrigues, the conspiracies, the action...and all that in a perfect mix (at least from s1 to s3).

As for Kiefer´s other films, to be honest I haven´t seen a lot of his movies, at least not in recent times. I liked Phone Booth and Mirrors a lot but to be completely honest - I would have enjoyed them just as much if Kiefer´s characters would have been played by other actors. And to be even more honest - if it wasn´t for 24 I hardly think he would be of any significance in Hollywood anymore. Maybe in some B-movies here and there, but that´s it.

But bottomline here is: you like Jack, I don´t and still enjoy the show. And why not? Would be a bit boring if everyone would have exactly the same interests and preferences, no?

I know we had discussed it before and answered but sometimes ,as part of ongoing discussion.

As you saw I understand with other great stories in every season beside Jack . Hell Season was bad no Tony :lol:

If you get a chance check out young Guns 1 - 2 excellent Kiefer movies . Along with a great cast. Lost Boys Kiefer as a Vampire Or Flatliners with Julia Roberts

I have seen Flatliners but that was years ago, still, great movie. As for anything with Vampires, no thanks ;)

They are iconic in 24 land ! take there final scene in S-7 even as Jack is strapped with a bomb he isn't mad he tries to reason with his friend that he knew and loved .

I always say , if Jack was not ill with exposure to the toxin , perhaps Tony would; not have used Kim as bait to get to Jack nor would he have any reason to use Jack's blood and organs to make a new toxin .

But they would have had some type of showdown in the end . I was always worried when watching that scene, as Tony was captured, begging please please don't kill him.

When it was Jack doing the shooting not Renee i felt safe . knowing , what we saw in S-8 how jack killed for revenge , Would Renee have wanted to kill Tony for killing her fellow FBI agents and of course Larry Moss.

Tony did everything he could to harm Jack but not kill him , and he had many chances to
do so .

to me one of the best Tony and Jack scenes as Tony screams about how Michelle was pregnant with his child a boy and using Teri Bauer death as example of how he felt .
Without saying it he was like Jack you got your'e revenge on Nina you killed her for murdering Teri

I disagree with you on feeling safe with Jack doing the shooting though- of course he would never kill him on purpose but with the pathogen and the effects it had on him on previous episodes- sudden movements, collapsing, seizures etc- I did fear his hand would shake and shoot him accidently in a fatal position. But thankfuly even when dying he still has the best shot around :)

Looking at the OP- were Jack and Tony once known as The Rescuers or were they always the Imortals...?

I think Rescuer's...it is a true statement as well.:lol: I thought up 'Immortals' for them after Season 7.:lol:
