The idea if 24 goes on that Yvonne could replace him.

I enjoy her acting and hey not a bad idea. I really need to see how the season ends up

I like Kate as I like Renee, but there is no way 24 can or should continue without Jack, especially not with a character that's only had one season to establish the character. The only way it could even vaguely work, is if they got Tony. Even then, 24 is so deeply associated with Kiefer and Jack Bauer, that I don't think it would work.

However, its not something we'll be dealing with (despite what the writers say) as I can guarantee you (as I did with Season 9 itself) that 24 will return with Kiefer for at least another 3 seasons. Possibly more. And I can also say, that I'm growing more and more confident by the day, that the last scene of the season will be between Jack and Tony and it will set up a 10th season.

I agree Tim... but one of the things I always wanted to happen with 24, is for it to have a spinoff series. Like Doctor Who, Law & Order, CSI... (unsuccessful Criminal Minds spinoff)... I always thought that'd be interesting because even if the original 24 came off air, we'd have a spin off series to watch. I wanted that like during Season 6 though.

Besides that, I agree with everything you typed Tim.

Oh yeah, I'm happy for a show to coincide with the show, going by a different name, while featuring many familiar characters. But as long as it is as well as the parent show, and not replacing it.

I mean, one of my favourite shows of all time, was a spinoff and featured two of the greatest characters I've ever seen on TV (Although it did actually replace the parent show... which I haven't seen... poor example...

) but in this case, as long as it is made clear that it is running alongside 24 and is clearly defined as a spinoff, then I'm fine with that...

You know something like that, just be called some different with the same concept, while the original 24 is with Jack Bauer.

^ I actually have no idea... but just with Kate's hatred towards him, I'd think we will see him again, but it's tough cause it's two more episodes left and Cheng is back, so it's going to be interesting.
