Jack, now employed by Secretary of Defense James Heller, must meet with the new head of CTU, Erin Driscoll, on Heller's behalf.

Wow. I was so impressed with the season premiere. I mean, I'm a very new fan of "24". I've just watched all three prior seasons the past couple of weeks and I grew very attached to certain characters (mainly Tony/Michelle and Chase) and I had kind of low expectations for Season 4...but wow. Like anything can happen and I'm so excited.

), no matter what he does. You can't forget who you are. Life doesn't work that way. It's like he didn't even miss a beat.

----> Hate, Hate, Hate Erin. She's such a bitch. I was almost wishing for Chappelle to come back. There's something up with her, but I don't know what. I think she might have been part of a bureacratic conspiracy that edged Jack out (as the last remaining piece of the former CTU team, other than Chloe...who apparently Erin tries to intimidate/manipulate). She thinks protocol is everything and sometimes you have to break the rules in order to succeed.

----->Starting to like Chloe. She's so crazy (I mean that in a good way), but she's really in a hard place now. I felt really bad for her. She can't trust anyone really, but she trusts Jack. I was shocked when she said that. Even Jack was kind of shocked. I really think she's going to play a big role in reuniting the old team. I think one of the themes of this season will be a reunion of trust. Jack doesn't trust many people. In fact, I think the only one he really truly trusts is Chloe. He's going to need his whole team back to beat this one.

----->Really annoyed with all the new people except Edgar. I think he's going to come through big time in the future. I don't know what role he'll play, I just know it's going to be something really big. Everyone just kind of looks past him. Sarah is too much of a stuck-up. She's like Carrie a little. Curtis is too over-the-top.

------>Kind of glad that Ronnie guy bit it.

------>The Araz family is very interesting. I don't know who's more unpredictable: the boy (who obviously is in love with Debbie and probably doesn't want to be involved in this "family thing") or Dina, who has something else going on that her hubby doesn't know about.

------->I don't really like Audrey and I think her and her father are up to something. Maybe this whole kidnapping was just a diversion for something else...heck, it's probably a diversion for something else. Nothing is a coincidence on this show. I've learned that very fast.

------->The Araz family mentioned they've been in the country 4 1/2 years...almost 5. That's exactly how much time has passed since Season 2 and the diversion of WWIII. We all know who was involved in stumping that plan: Jack, Tony, and Michelle (and by extension Sherry (who I don't think is really dead...I watched the Season 3 finale over and she was only shot twice in the stomach. Wayne could have covered it up. He did look kind of guilty at the end there) and the President). There's something going on with that. Maybe we'll see those villians (who are still alive) involved in season 2 come back.

------>Three predictions:

1) There's some sort of bureacratic conspiracy that edged Jack out in the first place. I don't know who was involved. Maybe more than one.

2) The Araz family is living next door to someone we know. I don't know...but someone important and pivotal. I'd laugh really hard if it was Michelle.

3) Heller knows about Jack and Audrey. In fact, Audrey may know he knows or it may have been orchestrated from the beginning, but she really does love Jack. We'll see.

All in all, I was very impressed and can't wait to see what happens.

Omg, this was the most awesome season premiere ever! Our Jack is back, I love it! I loved how he interrogated that guy himself, I knew he would! And if Ronnie had just listened to him, he just might still be alive.

Chloe is awesome this season, loved her tag-teaming w/Jack, lol. I love her going her own way again'st Driscall, I seriously dislike her.

I really like Andrew, I hope nothing happens to him...but this being 24, lol.

I love Jack & Audrey, omg, she better NOT die! I love her, she's so sweet!

Oh, & William Devine is incredible as Heller, totally! And I think there is someone on the inside who helped make sure Jack was fired from CTU.

I can't wait for tomorrow!

I thought it was a very good premiere! Better than season 2's but not as good as season 1. Can't remember last season's.

I knew Ronnie was going to die from the moment he was introduced. He was too bland to last very long.

So glad to see Chloe back but I miss Tony!

I liked Audrey. Much better than Jack's other love interests the last couple of seasons.

Jack remains one of my favourite characters on TV.

My favorite show is back.

Jack is THE man! Always will be. It's hella weird seeing all the new faces, except Chloe, who is still more annoying than ever (although smart for trusting him more than Driscoll), but I just love this show.

I totally called that Ronnie was going to die, too. He had nothing on Jack! He couldn't even interrogate the man right. I wanted to laugh, he was so lame.

I like Audrey, too. I want to keep calling her Kim, though, and expect to see Jimmy around the corner.

This premiere was SO GOOD.

a lot of people I've talked to about the premiere were a bit irked since they didn't like a lot of the old cast not being there anymore.

Nina, Sherry & Palmer were my favorites "oldbies", so not having Michelle, Tony, Chase or Kim didn't bother me one bit. I do miss Tony though. A bit. Chloe still annoys me. She's not as bad as last season.

It was definitely good. I'm probably in the minority, but I LOVE ERIN DRISCOLL. So much. Maybe it's because I also heart Alberta Watson and I could pretend it was Madeline, but..

IMO, someone needs to snark back at Jack or else he becomes too perfect and marysue-ish.

Audrey was ok. I don't dislike her. Heller, meh. Frankly I was turned off by him when he went to see his son and spouted the "missiles, protect nation" bull. Reminds me of someone. Heh.

I sensed a very strong S1 vibe, with the kidnapping plot, of course. And a lot of the cast being new.

basically, woot. I don't think it'll ever be as good as S1, which was brilliant, but I'm loving the season so far.

Loved this season premier. It was fantastic. I loved everything, even the people that'll eventually end up on my irritation list

Keifer makes this show.

Suprisingly enough, I wasn't annoyed by Audrey,everybody seems to have a purpose and I liked that. Between this premier and Carnivale's, I'm maxed out on drama.

2 HUGE thumbs up for this premier.

I'm very new to 24 (I just borrowed Season 1 from a friend a couple of weeks ago.. my wife and I got so hooked on it, we watched the last 8 episodes in one sitting!). I've read up a bit on Season 2 and 3, so I know most of what's going on.

I'd like to rent some of Season 2 and Season 3, to serve as an overview of what happened. I mainly want to see anything important with Nina (especially Jack capping her!) and the Palmers. Anyone have any suggestions about which discs I should rent from each season?

I loved the season 4 premiere... glad to see the classic Jack Bauer back, the way he interrogated the Turk himself... very cool! I enjoyed Palmer in Season 1, so I'm disappointed he's not around these days. I'm hoping to see Sherry Palmer back somehow, as well as Tony Almeida. I'd really like to see some more of the characters I'm familiar with on there.

No, you were right, Tony wasn't mentioned last night. The only characters mentioned were Chase & Kim, apparently they just bought a house together.

So great you are into 24 now, to the person who said they just got into it, it's such an incredible show! I love it!

And yes, vintage-Jack is back, lol. I can't wait for tonight's 2 more 2hrs, so exciting & a new hr each wk, yes!
