Jack faces a horrible dilemma after finding the last vial of the deadly virus on the season finale of 24 , Tuesday, May 25 (9:00-10:00 PM) on FOX.

Jack is faced with a horrible dilemma after he and Chase find the last vial containing the virus.

Meanwhile, Tony could face the death penalty for putting Michelle�s life before his duty to maintain national security in the season finale.

President Palmer's grief over his ex wife's death ,my thought why couldn't the son and daughter
Actors be brought back for one scene to be told of there mothers death?

I kinda looked away as Chase got his hand removed and Jack smart enough to put in a freezer/cold storage type, But if the virus was released in the frig wouldn't the hand flesh die ?

So in 8 months lets say Jack went to rehab Tony in Jail Michelle gone quit Chase same retired with say medal of honor ,, Palmer perhaps in private job. Kim works for Govt. in another place . What new villain will bring Jack Bauer another day without sleep.

Perhaps soon we will learn of some of the planned storylies.

Hrmmm..it was totally going up and up in the intensity..and at the end..it ended with a whimper...

I seriouslly thought that jack was going to put a gun to his head...and go to black and gunshot.

I really hope Palmer (who I'll miss by the way - his storylines nlew but Dennis Haysbert is a heck of an actor) pardons Tony as he leaves office - it would be the ultimate irony if Chloe is back next season and Tony is not (and is jail to boot). I mean Jack killed Chapelle point-blank (different circumastances but still...) for goodness sake and he's coming back. I'd hate to see Tony or the Mrs. go. Reiko and Carlos put in great jobs all season and Michelle and Tony are the two of the most interesting characters on a show where the cast turnover is so great you can count on one hand the remaining characters from season 1 (outside of the Palmers, who seem to be leaving the canvas).

I guess this is the difference when writers don't know if they've been cancelled or not - in the 1st season we had Terri's lifeless body as the last moment and this season we had Jack going back to work (though you would think that after being up over 24hrs straight they could give him some rest already). Speaking of which that was some great acting by Kiefer there (and shows why he's deservedly back as a big star), Jack has had some terrible day - from the Salazars, the prison break, the drug thing, finding out about the Virus, finding out about Chase and Kim, finding out Saunders was behind it,finding out Tony was helping Saunders,having to kill his boss Chapelle, seeing Kim in the field, having to cut off Chase's hand, and now finding out his biggest ally (the Prez) is leaving. And being Jack the only way he can let out steam and cry about it is when he's alone.

Boy, it sucks to be Kim's boyfirend huh. Season 1 we had Rick aka TerrorMinion turned Protector. Season 2 we had Miguel who basically got his body broken helping Kim escape from NoDaddyNo and now in Season 3 we have Chase who has his arm cut off by Kim's daddy ("that'll teach you to go out with my daughter, next time I'll use the hacksaw"). Elisha Cuthbert may be hot but it's obvious that Kim Bauer is very high-maintence.

Very disappointed by Saunder's death - to be turned from mass murdering terrorist fiend to crying "don't hurt my daughter I'll tell you everything!" wuss in the last episode was bad enough, now that have him killed nonchalantly by a character we've never seen before (Gael's wife) in the most contived way possible. Is it possible that the "24" writers don't know how to write male villans to compete with their alpha-male hero and have to find some way to make them punks (aka Gaines, Drazen, Syed Ali, Kingston, Saunders) halfway through? The best bad "guys" on the show have been women - Mandy, Nina, Sherry aka LadyMac and blond blue-eyed IslamofacistTerrorMinion Marie Warner all of whom who were deliciously [/i]bad[i] and never turned soft. Coincidence?

Still, 24 is one of the best shows on TV - bring on season 4. Hopefully the writers will have thought of better B-plot material by then, so we're spared yawn inducing storylines all of the Palmer stuff this season.

hey everyone

I just finished watching the finale and to be quite honest I was a little disapointed. It was a very action packed episode but the ending was really pathetic. Were used to having a big ending where something really big happens and we can't wait to see the next season but we only had Jack breaking down and thats it.

Sauder's death was a real disapointment...it was over so quickly...this man who had caused all this devastation and it was bang bang lets move on to the next scene.
I thought the scene where Chase had the virus attatched to him was good. When he was preparing for Jack to cut his hand off I wanted to look away.

Poor Tony and Michelle....that was about the only cliffhanger in the episode...what will happen to Tony?

All in all I think they could have done a lot more with this finale.
