I have no idea! The actress tweeted she was going to be in several episodes but I think they used her as a temp to fill the gap left in their shennanigans by Sophia and tossed her once they had found an actress with a higher profile. They did it already with Giada in S1

Wow! This is actually harder than a Shakespearean role.

In order to be a true romantic interest for the character Kalinda the opposite actress must be sexy herself, and as hot or sexier than Archie to be convincing enough to make Kalinda want sex. The flirting is from this key point, and the dialogue wouldn't sound so kitschy or lame if the actress holds her own with Archie in scenes.

This is not a simple job for mere mortals. No wonder the Kings and Brooke Kennedy are having such a hard time with this story arc! I think it's really time to suck it in and hand out a huge paycheck bribe to outside CBS network and production talent = Jill/Kelli Giddish's and their agents, because it's just not working with Monica Raymund

#C**y isn't truly part of the equation. He's pretty wallpaper, and the dynamics is mainly centered on how well the other actress meshes with Archie/Kalinda.
