don't know why you don't like this promo, for me it seems to be interesting exactly because it's accented here that the guy is innocent, not only that he's a client of a law firm.
i remember Will saying in season 1 that in spite of being in the business for like 15 years he still cannot say who is innocent and who is not.
so... for me it's interesting really

If they went "you know he's guilty but she'll have to get him off death row" lol, that would be original and make people watch maybe. But how many innocent people has the firm defended? And how many we didn't know right from the start they were innocent?

I like this promo, it's different from the usual ones, centered on the client instead of the main cast. And I agree with you, the same line from Will came to my mind, it was from "Doubt", still one of my fav episodes.

Actually, I think the client isn't the innocent man. I think the client is the man who identifies the innocent man. Look at that scene at the end when Alicia's in court, looks like the other guy is standing next to her.

Promos that need captions to make them work don't work on any level
I mean it's supposed to make you jump out of your seat and pray for next week. Not... 'if you really think about it, it might just be interesting'
