that's the movie with Helen Mirren! (sadly she plays a younger version of her character so no scene together ), looks like she's keeping busy because being in 95% of all scenes in Orphan Black isn't not exhausting enough

actually, I can see it too. I wouldn't be shocked if that was his part but he is awesome as anything so maybe that won't be it.

Maybe it was because I was very disappointed in the whole thing but he really didn't impress me. It takes more than make-up and losing weight to be worthy of praise, imo. And it didn't do it for me. Anyone seen it? Thoughts?

Season 2 is starting early (in a couple of weeks I think) so you'll have more to see soon

She's amazing, really. I'm a little on the fence about AHS but if anything good came out of it, it's Jessica getting more cred with younger audiences. (and Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe )

What are your thoughts about next season's theme? It seems so "been there, seen that"
I mean... if it hadn't been for Carnivale a few years ago, maybe but now?

Speaking of Jessica, I was watching the Postman Always Rings Twice again and wow
Joana once said that Jessica was like molten lava chocolate cake you know? well she certainly is liquid sex in that movie

Not saying it's not worth the watch but I was expecting more, honestly.

Finals start this week and I have to watch S2 of The Americans and S5 of Modern Family (not to mention S4 of GoT and some Glee episodes)

AHS has such a talented cast. I am watching it for them, not for the plot tbh.

Freak show? I don't know, all I have heard about it is that Paulson is playing a two heads woman I am expecting a lot from it since it's Jessica Lange's swan song (from tv at least)

Seriously though, MoS is not going anywhere and if you wait, you'll have twice as many episodes to watch in a row (it's not as if I was going to spoil you here or anything since nobody watches it )

I know, right? Season 1 was kinda weak on the cast really. But since then, they loaded it with heavyweights. Some of them were already in S1 but unlike Jessica, they had mostly bit parts.

yeah it's going to be just another excuse to be creepy/gross and really it's been done to death at that point but good for Ryan Murphy, most people who watch AHS have no horror culture so they'll probably think he invented everything
I read about Sarah's part. The blurb was saying "if anyone could pull that off, it's her (or Tatiana Maslany)" and it's true.
Still, conjoined twins freak me out so I'll probably skip it just because of that.

Well, she'll have a smaller part so you shouldn't expect too much. I'm sure she'll shine in her scenes though (doesn't she always??)

They really made the movie worth watching. It's not perfect by far, especially if you've read the novel and seen the original movie but they bring SO MUCH heat to the screen, you just get sucked in!

Also, I just saw the first pic from The Killing's S4 and Joan Allen!! now that's what I call upping the ante! Good job, Netflix!

They actually made a whole joke out of it last season. I don't see them going serious about that now.

Is it so hard to believe grown ups can be really good friends and supportive of each other without being romantically involved?

Yea I know right!! like please don't taint this relationship! I really don't even see the need to go there, they work together and is fine. I would be disappointed if they try to play more than that.

I loved S1 because Frances Conroy had a decent amount of screentime. In S2 she was barely there and in Coven, besides Lange, Myrtle was the jewel of S3 tbh Basset and Bates are legends but MYRTLE She was unique

Me too. First because, unlike what the shippers are watching in their own private shippers show, there's been nothing ever that spoke even slightly of attraction between them. Second, they have the best relationship! They support each other, they are honest with each other, and they need that! Bringing some crappy romance into it would only ruin it.
Also, the show really doesn't need that to be interesting. It would take away from the story.

Oh and speaking of the Killing, Michelle Forbes was AWWWWEEEESOME in Orphan Black!

best thing about S1! Taissa Farmiga was also great but Frances stole the show.

I felt Basset and Bates were mostly wasted. They had some scenes but the rest was just predictable and repetitive.

I didn't really enjoy it. Watched it this year and way too much of the boring characters, not enough of the good ones. Frances was brilliant though.

I don't agree. However, I'm not sure what they're doing with show!Cersei anymore. She was always very different from book!Cersei but it made sense to me. This scene with Tywin seemed to me to be there to shock mostly since it won't have any consequences. And the way she was willing to throw away everything... that's Jaime, not Cersei. I need to rewatch the scene again, it's a big blur (of rage) in my mind. I miss season 3 Lannister

Me too. Instead of doing that I started The Last Airbender and The Sopranos. Anyone has seen any of these two? I've only watched the pilot of The Sopranos yet, it's not exactly bus trip friendly.

Me too. Started it about 4 years ago, never finished season one. Things kept getting in the way and I don't think I was ready for it.

Louie is the best tv show I'm watching atm. And imo I'm watching some really great stuff. But Louie Please watch it people. It's not for everyone but season 4 was fantastic television.

I did the dumb mistake of starting a BSG rewatch. It hurts.
