Matt doesn't need to be a movie star. There are plenty of roles on television and tv movies. I don't want to see him be stuck on a internet show, on a platform that is new. If the show was on lets say Netflix, I would sing a some what different tune.

It's not as if he needed to be an A-lister not to be wasted on TGW
They had him around to be pretty but they didn't do anything with the character in so long, it was a waste of acting, no matter who.

Not saying he shouldn't be happy to have been on the show but you know... actors like to act. They're not all in it for the glory or the money. He wasn't given much these past years.

So I just hope he gets something to do that he likes in the near future. He's got good looks and he can do comedy or drama so it shouldn't be too hard

I think he loved being there and part of the cast. Maybe not so much after Archie left, but he still loved the show. So it might not have been just getting to act, but learning from others and just being part of the cast. He got comfortable and enjoyed his job, maybe that clouded his judgement some. Even Archie stuck around a little too long after she was winning awards. But glad she is on a show now, where she is the one saving it.

I would love to see Matt in a Comedy.

The offshoot — debuting in February 2017 on CBS, before moving exclusively to the network’s streaming service CBS All Access — picks up one year after the events of last May’s polarizing finale and stars Good Wife vets Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo and Sarah Steele (reprising their respective roles as Diane, Lucca and Marissa).

I don't think he's to blame for staying. It's a tough business and it's better to get minor exposure in an award winning show even when you're not getting used like you could, than to get offered the same old CW recurring parts over and over.
I can see why he would have stayed for so long.

I'm just fine with him not being in the spin-off though because he should do other things now and I doubt this one is going to be an award winning show or even a blip on the radar
