I guess this goes here.
We just got a peabody award "The Peabody Awards honor excellence in all electronic media, and in the program's 70th year, a record number of awards were handed out -- 39 in total." Out of only 9 entertainment shows. And with The Good Wife being a "hour" long, full series & network show, Thats pretty impressive!! __________________

YAY!!!! This is such great news. <Does her dance of joy> This is so great! Let's bring out the champagne.
Is TGW a second time winner? TVline seems to think so. Posting that link on the News thread. __________________

Here's something from the article about the selection process. "Selections from 1000 electronic broadcasts are made by a 16-member panel made up of "distinguished academics, television critics, industry practitioners and experts in culture and the arts." Programs produced and intended for wide release theatrical motion picture exhibition are not eligible. The largest number of Peabodys given in one year to date is 36, though no set number of the awards must be handed out." It's a real pleasure to update that OP! ETA: This list includes comments from the judges. http://www.startribune.com/entertain...118997639.html TGW is on page 2 and here's what they have to say: Quote:

Summed up Alicia's story and how it ties into the procedural nature of the show very well - satisfaction, self-worth and moral quandaries. Could someone clarify whether MM would be eligible for the Emmys next year because of their extended hiatus? It's still probably going to BE but I'd like to have hope. __________________
