See what I told you, Laila? Now it's the third wave.
First wave: Emmy nominations reactions
Second wave: The media pick up the clear sure winners
Third wave: Backlash on the media hype and everyone says it's not a sure thing.

You know why? They don't even believe it. Half of them want to say something different from what's already been said 200 times since the announcement.
The other half (I promise you) belongs to the same group as CBS and is trying to buck up the suspense. Nobody wants to watch an award ceremony when they already know who the winners will be. Clear winners don't make for good ratings.

Lily, These wave you discuss are really standard and could be hurtful, the same happens in politics During the primaries there is always a frontrunners who is picked by the media and they are casted as the inevitable candidate, however then the public feels like what is the point of voting if we have our winners already, so sometimes they backslash and go for the under dog. The public does not like to know that they have a winner without them even voting yet. And this hurts the frontrunner who does not even consider them self a frontrunner is a tittle the media gave them.
I blame the media for this B.S

I think you're totally right, Lily. Still they're succeeding in it. I feel suspenseful already and the night of the Emmys is a month away!

But they have a point when they say the method is different. When you are judged for a couple of episodes, it can be not that easy to pick a winner especially when there is such a tough competition. Julianna may have the best season but maybe Glenn has a stronger episode (I'm sure she has).
Truth is this category is hard to win as long as you have Glenn Close around. Not to mention that I've always thought understatement is the best policy in this case - voters are human.

BTW, Can 'The Good Wife' beat 'Mad' and 'Bad' to win drama series Emmy? | Gold Derby | Los Angeles Times

Thanks Laila! Can I say I really don't like those people who commented on our show?

You can, I agree but maybe that was too close for comfort. Next year, I'd be more optimistic for the show award.
