Summary

When Alicia is asked to be the keynote speaker at the American Bar Association conference in New York City, she looks to her past for inspiration. Meanwhile, the competition with Diane and Will continues as Alicia and Cary battle to align with a powerful New York lawyer. Also, Will turns to an old acquaintance when it becomes clear that Nelson Dubeck’s investigation into possible voter fraud isn’t going away

His name doesn't appear in the press release, so... I guess there is a possibility the press release is wrong? With all the focus on the voter fraud storyline, it would be kind of weird for Peter not to appear?

I didn't read the PR, oops!

But it's weird, not only because of the fraud investigation but because Alicia is giving a speech in New York. As her husband, he should be there, but leaving that aside, isn't she asked to do that because she's the Governor's wife? I mean, from all the lawyers in the US they chose her, not even one from NY, just her There has to be some political reason, which brings me to assume Peter should be there

This all makes perfect sense Maybe Peter will be busy doing some governor business? idk. Like she is chosen because she is first lady and all but Peter has some very important meetings or something?
And then maybe most of the focus of the episode will be in NY so it will be okay? We should know soon anyway

All I can say right now is that this episode reminded me of why I love this show so much.

It was a pretty Alicia centered episode if they don't need Peter there (which they didn't) they won't use him.

Wow, what an episode!

- Elsbeth was brilliant - as always!
- The Bill De Blasio gag was funny
- Loved Cary and Alicia working together so well!
- I adore drunk Alicia!
- All the costumes/hair/make-up in the flashbacks were really good!

The flashbacks were incredible! I thought I was expecting too much of them, but they were perfect! Julianna Margulies deserves an emmy for this episode so badly - she was phenomenal! Also, that Will and Alicia shaking hands scene was amazing and so needed!

Before I watched the episode I thought that it would end with Alicia'a speech going really well and F/A getting Rayna's business. Turns out neither of those things happened! I felt really bad for Alicia with the speech, but I didn't feel bad for F/A that Elsbeth got Rayna - Elsbeth rocks!

So nervous for next week!
