Josh on Julianna, Alicia, Will and AW.

Will and Alicia [played by Juliana Margulies] are very close and went to Georgetown Law School together, and there is a real history there and that is a big part of obviously why she is coming to this firm. Will is an incredibly successful lawyer in Chicago; I think he is really good at what he does. I think he really enjoys living his life. He is methodical, he is loyal, he strikes me as someone who takes what he does very seriously but also tries to have a good time. He likes the Cubs, not the White Sox (laughs). He's a huge Bears fan, and I think he has a secret shrine to Michael Jordon in his living room but no one knows about it (laughs). When you work on a character, they always have to have secrets, you know?

There’s a sense of “I love these two people together, and there’s so many reasons why right now they shouldn’t be together as she works out her relationship with her husband, and she has two kids, and Will’s her boss.” And yet there is this sort of pull and connection between them that has some sort of tragic components to it. It’s an all star cast – had you worked with the supporting actors (Noth, Baranski etc) before?
Josh Charles, I have known forever, and I actually had suggested him for the role.

I was fascinated by the episode where Alicia shares an intense kiss with her superior at the law firm, who happens to be her old law-school boyfriend. She then flees and goes home and initiates sex with her husband. What did you think about that scene?
Alicia's husband has cheated on her, she hasn't been touched in nine months, and she essentially uses her husband as a tool to satisfy herself. It was a bold choice for the writers and the show to include that sex scene in an aggressive and dominant way not often seen on network TV. And it was fun to play it that way.

Q: If you had to choose between Will and Peter, who would you choose?
JM: You know, I don’t know. Honestly, that’s a great question but it’s hard because you have to really look at it. Peter is the father of her children and when you see him with them, you can understand why she would choose him. On the other hand, Will is unbelievably dashing and handsome and in love with her as she is with him I think. So what do you sacrifice? I don’t know.

Annso: Episode 12. After they talk about/find out that Alicia didn't hear Will's second message.
house_stacy: Middle of the season-Episode 15. Maybe in a business trip (most likely in Georgetown )
kdimmick: Alicia starting it. Something along the lines of Alicia inquiring about Tammy or Will noticing Alicia has an issue with Tammy in which would cause him to go 'hold up, YOU turned me down!' She doesn't know what he's talking about....the 2nd message comes to light, Alicia is overwhelmed and just dives lips first into Will.
Srta_Parker:when Tammy says bye bye. I think Tammy will leave Will because of Alicia. She told him she will be with him until it´s boring so if Will shows some attraction to Alicia I don´t think Tammy stays.
carito: Kalinda somehow discovers the lost voicemail, shows it to Alicia, she confronts Will, he tells her what he feels but she doesn't react, so he storms out of the office and she snaps out of it and runs after him
Lily_Marie: I don't think the next kiss will have anything to do with the voicemail. It'll probably be sometime during the seond half of the season, around episode 17 maybe. It will be because of a case. And I'm hoping for an argument, a full blown verbal fight which gets a little personal. And she kisses him and then runs off again leaving Will confused.
sarina_florrick:I'm predicting it happens in the episode that has Canning in it (14?), the case will make Alicia realize she should follow her heart in love things and she'll kiss Will but he'll go like 'I've moved on' and my little shipper heart will be broken again
dentyne.ice:I would guess that it will probably be in the office, maybe when one of them or both experiences an emotional case or hardship in their life and their feelings will just come out like they did last time.

new thread, haw very festive!!!

so i was reading in the op about the second kiss game, and i have to say the way things look right now, i dont think will see a kiss until the end of the season, if at all...

i think Will will encourage Alicia to go with Diane. maby he will do it in a polite way but if I was him i would like Alicia out of my sight pronto (but thats just me).
if that happends i think Alicia will take it very hard but maby (i hope) it will make her check herseld deeply, where her loyaltys and her heart lies. (beacuse lets face it, what worked for her until now was Will aloofness when he thought she rejected him. thats when she realised haw much he meant to her, and haw much she missed him in her life...)

It's just so pretty and casual. Here's a new A/W vid I found- Say When. It has most of this season's scenes in it.

Can I just express my love for the gun scene all over again? He's really standing much closer to her than is really necessary. And the looks she gives him? Love.

I love the gun scene too. But I just realized that whatever I wrote about the couple in BU in the episode thread was true of Will in this episode. He was bad, he was stupid and he was stupid at being bad Maybe both of them are still capable of loving each other despite that. Was there some mirroring going on? I just can't make Alicia fit into that role.

Anyway, I'm imagining a scenario where A/W teach at a law school and Alicia is the ethics prof and Will is teaching practical training, or is the convener of the moot courts etc. How many times do you think Alicia would have to storm into his room and say some variation of "You told the kids it was okay to do WHAT???"

There is that patented eye contact happening in the gun scene. I love the blue of the sky behind them. And I love the nod Alicia gives him when he repeats the law. And also Will's expression when she walks off, he knows she is right. And they're always standing too close to each other, even in the office while Owen is watching. That is too close for co-workers.

I think any mirroring would be Diane/Will to the stupid couple rather than A/W. It's still a loose comparison though.

It's such a pretty shot. I love the way part if it is done at an upward angle. I love the way she looks at him the whole time- I called it amused affection in the BU thread mixed with some um, ILLEGAL warning.

Owen was quite interested in their beginning conversation. I don't think he put it together enough to make it an issue but I think he saw more than Alicia wanted him to. They are always standing too close together. Will also touches her too frequently. He touches her elbow I think in that first conversation.

I've seen this one before too, it was really good, and no it's definitely not the happy-go-lucky fanvids. Definitely a brooding vid, and it really matched the music.
