I sure hope they have a story line for Diane this next season! I think they could make her character really interesting! I wonder why they haven't already shown us more about her?

I wouldn't mind seeing her building a closer relationship with Alicia, as we were saying the other day in another thread, and I think having Eli around would be interesting too. They seem to have something good going on and I adore it when they scheme together. And we need more background on her because, really, we know a lot about the other characters, but about her? It's always work, work, work...and some fun with her cowboy at times.

I really don't think it's not about them not having a story line for Diane. They are probably still in the process of laying their season (or the beginning even) down right now. They are just being asked about the storylines that are left hanging in the finale but that doesn't mean that the writers have nothing for Diane.

I wouldn't mind seeing her building a closer relationship with Alicia, as we were saying the other day in another thread, and I think having Eli around would be interesting too

If that gives Eli something else to do than hang around the office doing nothing but being yet another douche to Alicia, I'm all for it.

I'm not hoping for background on anyone anymore, considering what we got for Kalinda after a whole season of teasing (some BS about Peter and not about her), I think it's improbably they'll ever dig into anyone's past. But I wouldn't mind seeing Diane getting more politically involved since they totally missed that opportunity in S2 with the pseudo campaign, maybe they can catch up now when Eli will need to do some fund raising and all.

I have decided that Diane is probably the female character I prefer in the show. Obviously I like Alicia but she sometimes gets on my nerves, while Diane seems to know exactly what she wants and how to get it and she does it in style !

I love them all! Seriously. Not only is it a female led show but when is the last time you've seen a tv show on network tv with that many fantastic female characters, all so different from each other and all so wonderfully portrayed?

Most female led shows on cable have almost only male supporting cast.
