So, after reading "E" and watching Matt interview, I find myself going back to last episode and Cary's line "If we want..." regarding invalidating the bid that Nick lost...

Now, why did he said that? Did that scene that he witnessed between Creepy and Kalinda enough for him to want to lose a client that can bring that much money to the firm??? Just asking, because I honestly am not sure of that....

Even before that scene between Nick and Kalinda, Cary already had doubts about Nick. Even in the season premiere he wasn't sure about all that "stealing a government contract" thing. I know the show didn't do a great job showing that aspect but probably Nick looks and acts exactly like those crooks Cary used to prosecute when he worked at SA so I suppose it's that the reason why he's not so sure If they really want.... he's still working on getting out of the prosecutorial mind set while trying to be more pragmatic. But I'm sure that things would quickly change in favor of his prosecutorial side if he finds out about Nick and Kalinda.

I don't know if it's about Kalinda. I think he noticed Alicia's reticence and they discussed how legally... grey that case was in the premiere. I'm just wondering if he doesn't see it as a case that can do more damage than good to the firm. Alicia's and Kalinda's attitude are just something he files away in the "hm... something's going on here" and that probably adds to his reluctance but he probably only thought Nick was coming on to Kalinda.
