I am hoping that it will be Matt's last season. With the good material that he has been given this season, he has a better chance to land somewhere else. I think he only has a small window before he is forgotten about again. :shurg:

Not worried at all
Like Mel said, it'd be good for him to get some air before everyone on the show forgets about him again. And with no more Kalinda, a lot of the stuff he had to do over the past years will be gone.
With Alicia on her way to becoming President of the UN anyway, it's not as if they need anyone but JM on the show anymore so...

His agents are smart for promoting him now. Pilot season is coming.

I don't if you mean he isn't leaving or not, I don't think he is leaving either. I am glad his agents are promoting him too.

I think it's possible. Obviously the show is not going to announce that everyone is leaving but JM so even if he is, his agents probably won't say anything until he gets another part, like Archie's agents did.

But hey, he's getting some screentime so it's the best time for him to get the best out of it. Ofc it would be great if the screentime he was getting was better but hey, beggars and all that.

Yea I am happy he is getting screen time and it would be the time for him to go. I am just wondering like if he is gonna go, honestly if Cary leaves that would be the final straw.

It's not as if he'd done much in the last four years. And they are setting the "ensemble" show so far to pretty much need nobody else than the lead and a couple of stooges

Well, most of the cast is gone or going and there's nothing to hold them back so they have to introduce new people for Alicia to talk to
They can't actually turn an ensemble show into a one-woman show. She still needs people to interact with.

As for them being boring and pointless, well, there hasn't been very many interesting/exciting recurring characters since... season 2?

And now I'm reading "rumors" (meaning wild crazy speculations) that Cary is going to kill Kalinda, and that's how they get them both out of the show oh people!

Not really. But the new characters aren't even recurring they are regulars so stuck with them for eternity
