I didn't like the way he reacted towards Alicia. I know he was mad that he lost, but if the tables were turned, Alica would have congratulated him. I think he was sure he had the job. He was acting (IMHO) childish towards Alicia.

Oh you mean the look in the end, right? I thought that was childish too, he should've been a bigger person and congratulated her, even when you're pissed to have lost something to someone else, it's no excuse not to be civil and polite. Besides, it's not like she owed him anything, like I said, given the chance, he'd have done the same, if not worse, judging by what he's probably going to do now joining Childs, he has no problems getting dirty either.

We have so only seen the begining of how he will react too. He could have had a better reaction, but he was too confident he would win, which I guess its good to be confident, but I think its better to be realistic. I mean, he thought he won up until the end, which didn't overly suprise me at all due to his confident nature, but it just made it more sad to watch.
Alicia would have congradulated him, you are right on with that one, she would have been a bigger person about it. But Cary is young, and can be rash with his emotions, he is also a guy, and they get pissed off a lot easier than girls do. Not saying that makes it ok how he will react, or justify it, its just kind of a fact of life.

I agree he was a bit childish at the end and I'm sure that if Alicia didn't feel so good about Eli's scheme before, she felt even worse after that. But I'm sorry for him at the same time because we all know he could have got that job if it weren't for Eli or the bad financial situation at the firm. Now, I'm so curious to see what he'll do next week...leather jacket...

He sees Eli - does he know who he is? - talking with WD, everybody seems happy. Then he seed Eli and Alicia talking, I suppose it was clear they were well acquainted. Alica goes into the office and comes out with her usual sphinx-face and he waits for him after!!!
Add to that the gossip on AW, he was mad but I believe he has any rights to be so. I suppose we'll have something between AC, a sort of "you think it's over but it's not, prepare yourself".

Alicia didn't do anything to justify his behavior. He was so cocky and confident he had schmoozed enough people to get the job that he was completely taken by surprise when he lost, that's all.

He forgot that the race is over only when you cross the finish line and his arrogance made him blame the winner.

The contest was a stupid thing, since the beginning and it lasted seven months because it was good for the show but at any moments Alicia could have ended the race with a couple of calls.
Maybe Cary did not realize the whole magnitude of her name until the very end and maybe he thinks she used "unproprer" means to get the job (see, sleeping with Will, not a complete surprise)
We know she won for the Eli's thing but how many times Alicia and Will behave like it was normal to show their friendship, how long does it takes to start thinking the contest is strongly biased?

But Will really didn't help her out in that episode... Kalinda was right, if anything, Will's "friendship" was more of a problem than anything else here so it didn't help her at all in the long run.
