I loved Alicia's face as she surrenders her phone to her and as Kalinda talks to Zach.
At least we know Kalinda didn't clone Alicia's phone... she kept asking for it!

Archie's reaction was just great. Kinda like "uh oh here we go" with some "if you ignore her, she'll just go away" thrown in it for good measure.
Of course, a non-answer to a question like that means something IS up. But she just won't talk about it and I can understand that.

I don't know, am I the only one here who don't care about Kalinda sexuality? I can understand the purpose of the conversation but I hope Alicia doesn't bring the subject again.

There was so much Alicia/Kalinda interaction in that episode, I feel I have to watch it again and sort it out. It was really great though.

I think Alicia just wants to know one little thing about Kalinda that nobody else knows. She's been sharing all her secrets and most intimate thoughts about her life and she wants some quid pro quo. I think that's all there is to it.

I really don't see what's wrong about the conversation.

I think it's just part of the Kalinda mystery and they're teasing about it because that's all they are willing to "reveal" about her or at least tease about revealing for now.

I guess that's the question Alicia asks because they were talking about Will and she doesn't even know if Kalinda is interested in men or women.

I find everything about Kalinda interesting but if you mean it's not important, then I agree with you.

That's just the angle they are using right now to get the character to reveal herself a little but not too much. If you think about it, her bisexuality is the perfect example of how she's nothing definite, her whole attitude and her peceptions are changing with whomever she's talking to.

What's more annoying to me is how everyone is waiting for her to "come out". As if being bi was a way of hiding the fact that she's really into women.
That's just irritating. If she's bi, there's nothing to come out of.

In that article in NY Mag, they made a good point saying it was a simple question for Alicia but a complicated one for Kalinda.

I think what's more interesting than her orientation is how it influences her. Our sexuality is part of who we are and it probably goes double for Kalinda, if she has issues and since she's using it so shamelessly in her dealings with others.

Exactly. I was hoping she was not going to have "issues" about her sexuality but if that's the path they are taken, it's fine. I trust them not to make it a cliche.

The question in itself stigmatized why Kalinda's orientation is interesting. To Alicia, it's a simple binary question. Gay or straight. To Kalinda, it's a little more complex than that.

It also reflects differences in the characters' lives and their point of view on things.

I think it's appropriate for Kalinda. She's ambivalent in everything. Her 'sexuality' is just one of those things.

Many times they told/showed us how Alicia is a "black and white" person (although I do hope it is changing) and Kalinda is seeing things in a more complicated light. That's exactly what's going on there I think. And it's interesting they use that issue to reflect the difference between them.
