As for the people Mike mentions: Cheo Hodari Coker has indeed achieved something in his work running Luke Cage, not only the first black person to run a Marvel show, but making it one of the best too. Hattie McDaniel was great in Gone With the Wind, even if the film wasn't so good. And Sidney Poitier has a lot of talent -he was damn good in In the Heat of the Night, for example. Like Mike, he brings a sense of strong integrity to his acting. I don't know Harry Belafonte's work as well.

Yes, Cheo is going to be showrunner for season 2. And the late great Reg E Cathey is in it as Luke's father, in what must have been one of his last roles.
