After last night's episode, I think it's fair to say its only a matter of time until they break up. Some people will be cheering, some will be sobbing. I know I myself will be sad. I must say though, I enjoyed their relationship better when they were friends, then when they began dating. Sure I liked the kissing better, and whatnot, but I just feel like they had more passion on screen together last season than this season. Now... if it were up to me... I'd like to see Bright/Hannah take a break from one another, because they obviously have some issues in their relationship. Then decide what they wanna do: remain broken up and go their seperate ways, try and forgive the cheating and get back together, or try and just be friends. I would like to see them take a break from one another, decide what they really wanna do, then DO IT. I know a lotta people feel that Hannah has overstayed her welcome in Everwood, and in some cases I agree. But I think she's a great new addition; I feel that her character needs more chraacter growth/deveopment, etc, but in small times, not all at once, where she IS an entire episode.

I liked Hannah in the beginning as a replacement for Laynie as Amy's friend (although frankly I would have preferred to have Laynie back). I was also a fan of her becoming friends with Bright, who needed a connection with a female who was the antithesis of his bimbos-of-the-month. I was even in favor of her becoming involved with Bright for a couple of reasons: I liked the idea of a wallflower getting her fantasy man; and I thought she would help Bright grow up. But I NEVER expected her to become such a major character. And since they've been together romantically, I'm just not buying it. Not only do I detect zero passion between them, I detect zero romantic chemistry. And frankly, strictly from a male standpoint, Hannah is boring. It's not that she doesn't have substance, she's just boring. Although Bright is at least three years older than Hannah, he's still a twenty-one year-old guy. If he wants to play video games, attend keggers, and do bad karaoke, so what? That doesn't make him unusual for that age. As far as I can see, Hannah doesn't like anything fun. The only date activities which seem acceptable are meals, movies, and card-playing. That might seem normal if they were fifty.
I do agree that IF Hannah is going to continue to be such a big part of things (something I'm not really in favor of), she needs more character development. It's amazing how little we really know about her. Is she good in school? What are her academic interests? Her career aspirations? Did Jane magazine print her story? Does she still write? Does she like any sports? Does she knit? Crochet? Do needlepoint? Work jigsaw puzzles? Does she like to cook? Does she like pets? Travel? And, most significantly, does she have any other friends? If not, why not? She's been around for almost two full school years after all.
I'm not a Hannah hater. I just don't think she is interesting enough to command such extensive screen time, especially since it comes at the expense of Delia, Irv, and Edna. And, although I respect Hannah's feelings about pre-marital sex, I want Bright to be with someone who not only has substance, but brings the heat.

On a final note, with tongue firmly planted in cheek.....
I'd like the name of Hannah's family's insurance company. Her father was a bookbinder (or something similar). Her mother spent ten-plus years attending to him exclusively. Even if her Mom and Nina were good friends, it defies belief that Nina would be expected to house and feed Hannah for two years for nothing; especially since the arrangement started while Nina was on a waitress' salary. Yet not only does Hannah not work, while Amy (the daughter of a prominent doctor) does, but she was just gifted with a new product placement, I mean car. Not to mention the cruise. That must be some insurance company.

I actually think she accomplished this. Last week aside, I think Bright has grown a lot this season compared to the previous seasons. Not like a huge huge change, but in some aspects... I think he's matured.


Yes, same here. I think that if they are going to keep Hannah on the show, they need to really work on that (if there is a romantic future between Bright/Hanna after this). That's one thing that Rina failed at when it came to Bright/Hannah.

That is so very true! I don't think we could agree more on this! Hannah needs to get out more, do more with her nights than playing cards, or watching a movie. There is nothing wrong with doing these things; my two best friends and I like to stay inside sometimes and lounge, etc. But that's like, Hannah's LIFE. She needs to expans her hobbies, or bring ones we don't know about into the light.

One thing I feel is unfair is that Bright has to 'give up' all these things that makes him Bright. Hanah doesn't like partying, for example, so he doesn't really go a lot. I think they need to come to a MUTUAL compromise and go from there. Even in reguards to the ' no sex before marriage' rule Hannah has.

This storyline is very murky, I think. I think under one hand, Bright should be understanding of it, and not go around whining about how she wants to wait. That's a personal decision she made and he should respect it. There is so much more to a relationship than sex. Then under the other hand, Bright accepts her decision to not have sex, but like someone (I forget who) pointed out, Hannah is not respecting the fact that Bright is used to sexual relationships. It doesn't make him bad. It's just the way he is.

BUT despite the either or situation, I think the move to have Brioght cheat in the last episode was a really stupid one on the writers/nettwork's part. Had they thought about it before writing/filming it, they'd see a problem with it. With Bright cheating on Hannah because she refuses to have sex with him till she's married, that sends such a bad message out to girls out there who are doing the same as she is. The message that was sent out with last week's episode is "Guys will go elsewhere to get what they aren't getting at home." Not a great mesage to be sending out, especially since this is a 'family based' show.

Exactly. I think she defiantely needs more character development before she can gain the screen time she's been getting.

I agree that in reality, I honestly dont think that Bright and Hannah were gonna last (although I wanted them too). I just didnt like that they had Bright cheat on Hannah. I mean they might be concerned about breaking them up just for the fact that they disagree on pre-marital sex cause it would make Bright look like a jerk, but having him cheat on Hannah makes him look like just as much of a jerk.

I really do like this couple and hope that they can stay together, but there needs to be a good reason (and writing for that matter) for them to get back together (if they fully break up).

I guess on everyshow most of the couples you like the most usually break up after so long and then you have to wait and wait for them to get backtogether. I hope that happens with Bright and Hanna because I really like them together she made Bright grow up.
I guess he didn't grow up enough because he cheated on her with some girl.

i've been busy all week but i finally got a chance to watch the episode from monday that i recorded. all i can say is that i can't believe Bright cheated on Hannah! then he didn't want to talk to her on the phone. it's so sad....
