| Who does Nina have true feelings for? Jake, Andy, or both? I find this topic fascinating, because ultimately, I always thought that at the beginning of this season, Nina fell hard for Andy. I would even go so far as to say that I thought she had fallen in love with him. But now, I think she has developed some real and strong feelings for Jake. I think these feelings took her by surprise, as I think she never fully knew they were there until the moment they started to kiss in the past episode. So, now, what are Nina's true feelings? Does she still carry a torch for Andy or has that fizzled? Or has it just been ignored for the time being? How strong of feelings does she have for Jake? And how do you ultimately feel about the situation? Would you prefer Nina with Jake, Andy, no preference, or neither of them? Or, do you sort of ship both Jake/Nina and Andy/Nina? What does everyone think? | |||

| I think that Nina still has feelings for Andy. I mean the depth of what Nina's feelings for Andy are/were, don't just dissapear. I think that Nina is trying a little too hard to make herself like Jake, because she thinks that she has no chance with Andy. __________________ cause i know all i need is on the other side of the door | |||

| I think that Nina was really impressed by Jake's speech in the last episode. But even though they seem to be sleeping together (!) I don't think it's going to be that serious. I think Nina will totally fly off the handle when she finds out about Amanda, simply because she's still in love with Andy. I think that Nina needs to learn something from Jake before she can get into a relationship with Andy. I believe the same is true for Andy and Amanda. I mean, it worked with Amy/Tommy and Ephram/Madison, right? Jake isn't the end, he's the means to an end. __________________ Janelle*Sidekicks*Leos*Greenies*Jam*Leyton*Jeyton*Zanessa*LaEfron*Me/Zac Efron* Avatar made by Dorkodancer147 | |||

I think that she obviously still has those feelings for Andy, but she either doesn't think he'd be interested, or she hasn't gotten up the courage to put herself out there...so she has moved on as much as she can. IN that vein, I think that Jake's actions when Sam had his skating accident made her question whether or not she really had NO feelings for him. It was obvious that the seemingly effortless way he interacted with Sam was making Nina re-think her previous ideas about Jake, and I think it opened the door to the relationship that has started to blossom. __________________ Elena: I think there's something he doesn't want me to know, which makes me wanna know all the more. | Definitely Andy. I think Nina likes Jake, and yeah... there are some feelings there, but her feelings for him don't compare to her feelings for Andy. __________________ Tara It's like infinite – it's kinda how I feel about us. | Who does she have genuine feelings for? That's easy: both of them. If the question is which one does she love, I believe the answer to this question is much more complicated than it would have been a few months ago. Setting aside her feelings for Andy for a moment, Jake appeals to her for several reasons: 1) First and foremost, Nina is a mother, and a caring one at that. She would never allow anyone in her life who wasn't good with Sam. Watching Jake interact with Sam while stitching him up had to help open her heart to him. 2) Until she finds out otherwise, Jake comes off as both a good guy and a genuinely sympathetic character. Couple that with the grin and the dimples.....Nina had been without physical affection for a long time. She has needs. 3) Nina has been let down big-time by a man she profoundly mis-judged; our boy Carl. She would never open up to any man she wasn't convinced was worthy of her respect. Nina is a vibrant, lovely woman, but her self-image as a woman had to be damaged severely by Carl; both in terms of her belief in her attractiveness and in her confidence in judging men. That's why she couldn't bring herself to risk rejection from Andy. Right now, Jakes fills the bill. 4) Andy has his head stuck so far up his you-know-what. 5) In my mind, this is the big one: Jake is ardently pursuing her. That has to feel good to her. It's always more comfortable and better for the ego to be the pursuee than the pursuer. Are her feeling genuine? Absolutely. Nina would never be with him otherwise. Is she in love with him? No, I don't think so. Her jealousy at seeing Andy with Amanda would indicate otherwise. There is no doubt in my mind that she has been in love with Andy. Is she now? Good question. I have no doubt she was immediately attracted to Andy physically, but her real feelings for him grew out of friendship and respect. She met the genius doctor everyone in Everwood was gossiping about, and found out he was a pretty nice guy. They shared status as struggling parents, and she empathized immediately with his determination to become a better father and a better man. They began a tentative friendship, which later became profound. They helped each other through their respective problems and cared for each other's children. And I'm sure her professional respect for him was boundless. Is it any surprise she fell for him? The only surprise is him not falling for him first. But now? The Andy she fell for has self-destructed. All of the reasons she fell for him are gone. He's tossed away his professional ethics; seems heedless of his children's welfare, and shattered his personal integrity. Why would she be in love with this Andy? He isn't even worthy of her respect, much less her love. Will she become more involved with Jake. Yes, unless Jake tells Andy about Nina's feelings and Andy takes his thumb out of his... Will she ever love Jake? I'm guessing no, even if no sinister facts about Jake are forthcoming. Will she stay in, or resume her love for Andy. I'm guessing yes, but he has a whole lot of work to do to regain her respect, and that has to happen first. The only sliver of optimism for those who are rooting for the Andy/Nina fairy tale ending lies in Andy's jealousy at seeing Nina with Jake. I think he was really surprised by his own reaction. However, since after that, and after Nina's on-the-money scolding, he STILL was sucking up to Amanda, I don't know whether optimism is justified at the moment. Even if (actually when) Andy's fiasco with Amanda ends, if Andy then goes after Nina prior to some major fence-mending and image-rebuilding on his part, she is going to feel Andy is settling for her. That wouldn't bode well for Nina's feelings. I'm still guessing Andy and Nina are still fated to be together, but I'm seeing it postponed until Season 4, after Andy's redemption.

I definitely see Andy/Nina happening, but I also see this romantic pairing as the "it" relationship for the both of them. They will be like Harold/Rose. Solid as a rock. But, this cannot happen at this time. Not with Andy walking around without a brain. Andy has to get through his crap before anything substantial begins. I predict season 4 as the estimation of these two getting together. And I would guess this would go down around the middle - end of 4. Or, the other way of looking at it.. The key to when Andy/Nina will get together is solely based on how long it takes Andy to find his brain again. Once he finds his brain, I would think that from this moment, it will take another handful of episodes until Andy/Nina get together. Yep, shooting for middle - end of season 4 is probably my best guess. Last edited by Wilpen : 02-03-2005 at 10:58 PM.

Nina has always seemed to have a connection with Andy right from the start she was helping him when he first moved him. With Jake I think she is more flattered with the attention then actually have feelings for him. To me Jake as that cute thing happening which is all very nice and all, I just don't think he is as stable as what Andy is.
