From what I can tell Jerry, it's new. I'm trying to find a way to watch.

if you have Verizon, they're on Demand.

I think you can also view them on the Hallmark site

Jerry/Shu

It is a new series. The Pilot aired on August 14th, 2016. This coming Sunday will air 1.8.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesapeake_Shores

Regarding where to watch...

Here's the options the Hallmark site gives: Watch Season One | Chesapeake Shores | Hallmark Channel

Here's two glimpses:

They make it all about the pairing of Abby and Trace which rocks since trust me, you'll love them. But there's also so much more to the show. Ensemble all the way.

Seriously, just like Everwood... total ensemble, family.

Soooooooooooo good!

Right! For Abby it's her brother, her children/custody, now the trouble at her work. She's definitely got a full plate. But then again, Abby has a fairly good relationship with her mom. But yes, there's so much going on in all their lives right now and certainly Kevin takes center stage. You know they'll keep coming back to the situation with Megan though. They have demonstrated the seriousness of the situation in one way or another in every episode to date so far.

That's a great point. We know they'll all live in or near Chesapeake Shores and the last person who'd ever live there would be Georgia. There's no way she sticks around there. I hope not. She's so frosty. I can't see anyone liking her long term. They were all dealing with Kevin's situation and didn't have time to really see what she was all about. They got a glimpse but she was the one in charge of Kevin's health and this fact ruled everything. Once Kevin recovers more they'll have time to see what Megan did.

Right?! The actors are so good at conveying this natural closeness. You are right, you can just imagine their interaction together. That's great storytelling and portrayal when your imagination can go there and expand on what we see on the screen.

It's like Trace is caught in the middle of his mother understanding and his father being a complete jerk.
I know! LOL I was shocked finding out that was his mother. Yes, Trace definitely seems to be caught in the middle. I hope they continue to focus a bit on Trace's parents and his family situation. I think it's a clever way to get a background on Trace and how he ticks.

Good point about Connor's age. We know Jess has had a very difficult time dealing and Connor can't be that much older than Jess. So immaturity and how young they both were when all of this went down has to play a part. Connor does have the title of "outcast" though. There has to be a reason for it.

I really don't get it either. I just hope it all goes away soon!

I know it. She had absolutely no right. I get the psychology behind why Kevin would pick someone like Georgia to be with... a strong, blunt female figure to almost make up for the absence of his mother in his life over the years. He desires that female lead, that motherly leadership. He certainly picked a female figure who makes her presence known. Problem is she seems to lack a heart and soul!

Agreed! I love it too. I think it's cute how the sisters know what's going on between Trace and Abby before even Abby does. Heck, even before Trace does and Trace is comfortably giving out all the information for Bree and Jess to figure things out.

I just love how natural he is with Abby's sisters. There's a natural chemistry between Trace and Bree and Jess... almost like he was meant to be their brother-in-law for years.

LOL! I agree. I found it utterly ridiculous he was not in a hospital. Infection certainly is always a risk when you stay in a hospital but for someone like Kevin who has open wounds/burns everywhere, he would have been placed in a special unit in order to protect him from catching a bad infection. He would have had around the clock care and if an emergency transpired, he'd be in the best place to handle it. I find it so ridiculous he was plopped back at home with his monster-like fiance calling all the shots.

Definitely! There's so much more to the story.

I know! I really want to understand their background. I don't get her angle either... is it money? I mean, even in a natural way understandably she'd want to use her art, her gift to sell records and make some money of course. It could be she just wants to to make a living! But like you said, she also likes Trace too. She definitely seems to get that Trace still carries strong feelings for Abby though. I wonder how long she's going to stick around. Hopefully not much longer but information about their past dynamic would help fill in the blanks.

It's exactly the perfect mixture.

And yes Michelle, I can see a lot of Andy Brown in bringing family together inside of Mick.
It's so great!

Second Chances

Excellent episode....lots of things were revealed.

Well, we finally know what happened in Nashville. Understandable that he would feel super guilty about what happened to his bass player. He was speeding...bass player has a family and may not ever be able to walk. This has got to weigh on Trace all the time. Tough to get over it because his friend's injuries are ongoing.
I am so happy that he confided in Abby about this. They had some really sweet moments this episode..(you must be happy, Alan!) Abby also confided in him about being jealous. That was also a good move!
So very sweet when Trace saw that guitar at his door. He used to play it when he was dating Abby...ah..memories.

Mick can be such a great guy and father and then you see his other side when he is with Megan. Talking to him is like talking to a wall! He is never wrong and things are never his fault.
I guess Megan did have a huge dilemma. She couldn't live with Mick. I guess the emotional abuse was too much, and no woman should have to live with that.
What to do...what to do? She didn't have the money take care of her children and she didn't want to uproot them from their home and their life. That was a tough decision.

Kevin...he kind of turned me off this episode. I didn't like the way that he spoke to Connor. He was kind of belittling him regarding his hockey playing and the fact that he chose to be a goalie. I thought that he was being really mean.
Plus...it appeared from what Georgia said that Kevin bad mouthed his family to her. She admitted that they weren't what he had said they were.
I'm wondering if there will be a wedding. There seems to be a disagreement regarding the plans. The look on Kevin's face when Georgia walked away was ominous.

Kevin was a fool to attempt to climb into that treehouse. Here we go again..waiting to see if Kevin is alright!

Bree and Jess like the same guy. He seems like a great guy, but I don't want conflict between these two!

Gram is too mysterious and it's annoying to me. Just tell people why you are going to Ireland! And that ring...I guess it was given to her by that guy she's going to Ireland to see.
Plus....she keeps insinuating that she won't be around forever, but then declares that she's fine. Tell the truth!

Trace and Mick as partners in that property. Can you imagine having enough money to buy a property and not even have a plan for it? Mick can, but I sure can't!

I knew there was a massive reason why Megan left which is why I've been softer on her than most. Emotional abuse is NEVER okay. Mick is actually more to blame than Megan. She is the one that left but he is the reason why their children not only had their parents completely severed but their mother was put in such a difficult situation. He caused it. He held all the cards. Money can do that.

I will say more when I get home.

I'm just not sure about Shu being in Canada and if she can watch on the Hallmark Channel website or not. That one site we watched The 100 on would probably work too. I'm sure Shu has better places than we have though.

I wonder if Hallmark will show season 1 again. They probably will. Of course we don't know when.

I can't watch on the site but I found a place to get it elsewhere. I just finished the pilot today and I adored it.

A few thoughts:

I love Jess even though she is overdramatic and a mess. Her mother leaving really seemed to have affected her.

Abby and Trace are of course my favs both together and apart. I really want to know what happened with Trace that made him leave and I am so glad jesse is singing again. He has such a beautiful voice.

The sister who is the playwright (forget her name) seems super interesting and Treat's character reminds me so much of Andy except in many ways he is so much worse in that he thinks putting food on the table is enough. I love the little girls, they are so adorable.
