Episode Discussion #319: "Acceptance"
When Jake's little brother (guest star Tom Parker) comes to visit and confides he doesn't see a future for Jake and Nina (Stephanie Niznik), Jake (Scott Wolf) seeks counsel from an unlikely source...Andy (Treat Williams). Meanwhile, Amy (Emily VanCamp) is accepted into Princeton, but assumes her father was the one who secretly sent in her application, and Ephram (Gregory Smith) and Amy make plans to spend an evening together, further confusing the status of their relationship.
Vivien Cardone, Chris Pratt, Stephanie Niznik, Merrilyn Gann and Tom Amandes also star. John E. Pogue wrote the episode directed by David Petrarca. |

Andy is going to give Nina/Jake relationship counseling. Uh oh!
Amy/Ephram going out to dinner ... there's that small bit of hope left. And most likely, TPTB will crush it into so many tiny little pieces. And next year, they'll probably attempt to put that puzzle back together. Atleast, we hope so. __________________

That is a different synopsis than I read...
The episode sounds like it will be good. I mean good in the 'well acted' sense, not the 'a joy to watch' sense. __________________

The last few episodes have been good in a "great acting sense", not in a "joy to watch" sense. At least, not for Ephramy shippers.

i thought that was a really good episode but i dont like the thing with Rose, i feel bad for her because she wants a baby! I was happy for Amy but it was kinda sad that Ephram wasnt thinking the same as her because she wanted to share an apartment but he wanted to move on, hopefully not to someone else!

Amy got rid of a little bit of dead wood. (Hmmm.. how neat would an Everwood / Deadwood crossover be?).
Any guesses on what Andy's season finale surgery is going to be? Could be a way to also keep Amy in town. Just hope Andy does a better job this time. Was surprised Amy didn't pull an Ephram over the application to Princeton __________________

Hello all
Can someone please give me a summary of what happened in this episode from the start of Ephram/Amy's 'date' onwards? I got a phone call right at the beginning of the date and I ended up missing the rest. It would be much appreciated. |

Raise your hand if you think Ephram is a selfish ass.
How could he do that to Amy? I don't care how much he's "hurting" what kind of selfish inconsiderate person would treat someone they love like that? Ephram apparently. I think i'd actually like him to dissapear for awhile. I can't look at him without getting pissed off. he's the one who always came off as wanting him and Amy to be together forever "I can't keep being your second choice Amy not when your always my first." Poor Rose/Harold I read spoilers so I knew about the tumor but I didn't know about the whole baby thing they were so excited. So Jake just created alot of problems for himself spilling the beans about Nina being in love with Andy you can tell Andy had never even considered Nina until Jake opened his mouth. Andy vs Jake hmmm I wonder who Nina will choose? __________________

I don't have much of anything to say right now. I'm too busy popping in the artificial tears due to how dry, red and irritated my eyes are from crying throughout practically the entire episode. It's totally rare to get me in tears from TV shows or movies, but tonight's episode had me in complete tears. Everything about it.. Everything.
