Thanks Ken. It's great to have the episode descriptions right in the first post. I'll top this now.

Ok.

I'm watching "We Hold These Truths" right now. Bright's stunt double in the first scene,

Right now, Nina is telling Ephram to go to the hospital to be Amy's pal. And Bright is "thinking back" to the past.

I haven't got the time to watch these eps. But I loved the scenery in We Hold These Truths, absolutely beautiful It gave us insight on Bright and the festival thing was so funny, Harold being hilarious as always, lol.

And who can forget Amy's and Ephram's first kiss?

I was busy all week being solo here on the board. I will come back with some comments later on whenever I have the time. Of course, I will post the new episodes in a bit.

It was cool to see flashbacks of Colin and so sad too. You got a real sense of the trio relationship between Amy/Colin/Bright. You can understand why Amy cared about him so much but at the same time, her chemistry with Ephram is so much stronger to me.

It definitely felt like there was underlying attitude laced with Colin though. Him sort of forcing Amy off the ledge... Amy saying she loves him and him not returning her feelings (not that he should ave said it if he didnt feel it yet but he could have explained instead of just swimming away)... Giving Bright alcohol...

The flashbacks were necessarily but also felt a bit much for one episode.

Brian is a bit random but seems like a good guy. I didn't really see his point though.

The scene between Ephram and Nina was really really sweet. It was cute how encouraging she was and how he just spilled things to her.

Ephram showing up at the hospital and saying he wanted a Twix, that was the cutest ever. There's just a stark difference between Ephram and Colin.

Bright confession to driving the car was and explains why he feels so horrible. Him telling the parents about it seemed crazy to me. I realize it was the right thing to do but IDK, if it were my son I would have told him to keep it to himself

108:

I really could have cared less for the dumb Revered and his wife or whatever their SL was about. zzzzz.

Ugh it hurt my heart when Ephram called to say he couldn't be home for dinner. Seeing Andy struggle with the anniversary was really hard to watch too.

Ephram standing up for Amy was sweet, but I think it was about more than that. He says "haven't you ever lost someone?" or something like that to the prank callers, so I think he know how it feels to be hurting over someone obviously.

The scene before the first kiss was really sweet between A/E. Sure its wasn't the right time for Ephram to do it but Amy just gave this wonderful speech, they were sitting close it was a special moment... IDK. I think I would have preferred if they just almost kissed or something but still, it was sweet. Sucks that Amy ran off and was rude to him on the bus but I understand her wanting some space when Colin could potentially be waking up. It must be really confusing for her. And finding out that Colin might not remember anything, that was tough. She should have sat him down and talked to him though, even if just for a few minutes.

The Browns and the Abbots going to lunch together was so cute!

Soooooooooooooo true about Colin and his attitude. I just couldn't relate to him in the flashback. His lack of empathy for Amy and her clear struggle over not understanding what was going on between them... you are also absolutely right about Colin giving Bright the alcohol too... such a key moment which means everything.

Yes, the chemistry between Ephram/Amy is magical. Amy/Colin don't compare in the least, storyline-wise or even comparing the two actors of each pairing. I've always believed Emily VanCamp has chemistry with air but there is something about her chemistry with Greg Smith that transcends everything.

The Ephram/Amy twix scene was everything!

Yes, the timing of Bright's confession was so tough.

Such evolution for the Browns and Abbott's being there together like that given where Harold and Andy were in The Pilot, lol.

Oh yes, Amy was so confused over her first kiss with Ephram. Oh she knew it was real and that was the problem! She was freaking out over the realness because she knew she had to be there for Colin. Her neverending connection to Ephram was something she relied on, appreciated, but it scared her so much because it was so real. She knew she was falling hard for Ephram but didn't know what to do because of the Colin situation. She felt both happiness and guilt which confused her so much. She had no idea what was going to happen to Colin either. It was such a mess for her. I think she handled it fairly well considering all she was going through. Man, she was just a teenager dealing with such a tough situation.

I agree and I think people can be too rough on her sometimes.

Totally agree. Really bothered me back in the day when people were too rough on her. I always felt like the entire situation wasn't being taken into consideration. I feel like most adults wouldn't handle Amy's situation perfectly. She was a freaken teenager and handled it amazingly!

The way that Ephram treated Andy was so difficult to watch so many times. I know that Andy was not the best father, but he was really trying. Often times Ephram behaved like an insensitive angry brat. And that that's coming from someone who adores Ephram!

I never warmed up to Colin. Maybe it was because I didn't believe he was that great a guy. Maybe it was because he was a road block to Amy and Ephram. It was definitely because I knew that Amy belonged with Ephram...he was the better guy and he and Amy had so much more chemistry.

Or maybe you are just smart and have a feel for people and knew Colin wasn't a great guy overall. I have tried many times to like Colin and I just can't completely get there. I feel so sorry for the guy due to the brain injury and of course, death, but when I think of Colin as a person before the accident and his treatment of Amy and Bright, I just can't warm up to him. I never understood why everyone worshipped him. I believe the real Colin was that guy treating Ephram like crap too.

I didn't hate Colin, but I also never worshiped him. I agree with you Michelle. I don't see why people would worship him . He was just a teen. He wasn't killer obviously, but he wasn't also something unique. He was just some guy.

That being said I felt for his story in general. Can't tell you why, but I just did. Maybe because I have neighbor who suffered a car accident and was in a coma for 2 weeks or because for some reason this story resonates me on some level (maybe past life or something, who knows).

I know that I did feel for Colin and the struggles he had once he woke up because I don't think that kids his age should suffer like that. No one should of course, but for some reason I always feel sad for young people that die.

For me Colin was jerk to Ephram because of his illness and not because he was in general a jerk. We don't have proof for any of it though so we could be all right or wrong.

Maybe you and Betty are right, maybe I am. I think that Berlanti made this story a bit ambiguous so that the fans would decide on their own about Colin. And I guess this is what we did. We decided on our own how to see Colin's behavior once he woke up.

The only reason why I wonder if Colin was more of a bully naturally is because of how Bright bullied Ephram. I know this is a general statement but you are what your friends are. It's interesting that Bright didn't even hesitate to bully Ephram to "protect Colin" and I think it was because at the time, this is just how Bright was. I would assume Colin's personality would be close to Bright's. I think they all acted cocky and looked down on others a little bit. Obviously, we know Bright grew out of that behavior thankfully once he got to know Ephram. But I do feel like through Bright and his mentality/actions, we did kind of get a snapshot of what his best friend, Colin was like pre-accident.

Yeah, that's another thing that is left for people to interpret . I actually don't think that Bright was bully in general. I think that he was acting up because of the guilt he felt knowing that he was driving that car.

I think that Bright and Colin were the typical jocks. Not the actual real jocks, but the way jocks are portrayed in TV series. I think that they were a bit cocky and self confident and all that. I guess if they were good players they might have been also popular enough in the town. Everwood is small town so if say there are some tournaments and their football team wins it would be something the people would like.

I guess I feel that if Colin was full on bully Amy would not have liked him that much. So in this sense I feel like Colin might have been cocky, sometimes going too much with joking with someone, but not into the full blown bully mode.

I think that in the end Colin felt so much pressure from everyone to remember and get to the older Colin they all knew that he had to resort to physical ways to blow off steam and let go of his frustration. I never felt that this is who he is though. I actually saw him being scared of himself and unsure what's going on.
