I thought I'd get used to the year numbers after 2010 someday, but they still sound cybertic or science fictional.
Am I the only one not ready to admit another year has gone by here?

Thanks for the new thread Michelle!

Merry Christmas everyone! I wish you all the best!

To be honest I don't have problems with years going by, just like I don't have problem with my birthday and getting one year older. I hope that with the years passing I also get wiser, smarter and basically grow up and mature even more. And that is always a good reason for celebration.

Michelle how is doing Sara now? Is she getting better?

Good that you knew, even that early on, you didn't want your hair cut that short ever again. It doesn't surprise me, lol. I don't like bangs either. My hair is layered on the sides too, length sits just beyond the shoulder.
Yeah . My father likes women with short hair, but I'm definitely not to it. Plus my ears are a bit bigger and I like to downplay this with having my hair down. Was your hair blonde btw or I'm just remembering it wrong?

Quote:
That's kind of how my dad is too. What time does your dad go to work?
He wakes up early and does some work at home like documentation and stuff like that and then he goes to work around 7-8 am. And he comes home around 3-4 pm, but he is always on call so if there is something they will call him and he would go back to work. If it's snowing he might end up working 24 hours.

That horrible temple stuff is gone thankfully. I am left with my normal ache/tightness in neck/head. I'll take it.
It's definitely preferable over temple headache.

Quote:
There is no right or wrong, you are right.
. How are you feeling? I see that you are awake and I won't be surprised if part of the reason for not getting sleep is this.

Quote:
Oh man, I couldn't sleep last night either! I went to sleep around 3 until 4, then 7-8 so two hours. Oh well, I don't like today/tonight anyway so I'll be in a sleep-deprived fog the entire time.
Most probably you won't be able to sleep these few days until this is over .

Itching is back! At your parents again, right? There has to be something there causing it, wouldn't you think? Or something there that triggers it?
This is what I think as well. Unfortunately I can't determine the trigger.

I feel the same way as you do, Koni. I do not mind years going by at all. It really is all about evolution and growth. I think we're seeing things from a Spiritual perspective too.

Sara is a lot better, thanks for asking! Her eye looks great... the antibiotic drop plus oral medication just zapped the infection in her eye... the walking pneumonia is much better too. She said she feels so much better. When my nieces were babies/toddles, I could always tell when they were sick before they even showed symptoms... I could see it in their eyes and in looking back, I must have also picked up on their Energy. But I knew and would announce it to my sister and mom... sure enough, something would develop shortly afterward.

When I picked up Sara from school the other day and she complained of having chills and felt really bad... headache, sore throat, aches, coughing, etc... I told my sister she had some sort of secondary bacterial infection... she had a cold a week before these symptoms came on so she picked up some sort of secondary bacterial infection... my sister suspected as much too but it was funny how I announced it and told Sara that too... apparently when they were at the doctor's a day later, and the doctor explained just that, Sara spoke up and said her aunt diagnosed her with having a secondary bacterial infection the other day. Sara said it was scary how what I said was completely repeated by the doctor.

My hair has always been brown. In the summer, in the sun, it would sometimes turn a lighter brown when I was playing soccer but overall, my hair's always been brown. Actually, when I was born, as a newborn my hair was dark brown, almost black. But very quickly it settled in as a general brown color... not light, not dark, just average brown.

What about you?

Oh and yes, I've never had short hair a day in my life, minus being a baby, lol. I've never had hair shorter than shoulder length as a young child, teen, grown adult. I just don't like short hair either.

Wow! Poor guy! Maybe that's why his sleep hours are the way that they are. He kind of has to prepare for randomly having to go into work?

Absolutely.

Thanks. So glad last night is over. When we were out to eat, our reservation was for 6:30... we reserved a special room at this restaurant... you are sort of in your own world. That's where we were seated last Christmas Eve, too. Anyway, the people before us were so rude and ridiculous... their reservation was for 4:15 and those idiots stayed at the table until 7:15. The restaurant didn't want to kick them out so we were in the bar area waiting... and eventually fuming. However, finally we got to our table around 7:30 and boy did the restaurant make up for it. They gave us four free appetizers and free dessert. This place is fancy so on average an appetizer is around 15-20 dollars. Doing the math, the restaurant basically gave us about 120-140 dollars of free food and drink. Oh and they paid for our first round of drinks too, I forgot about that so make that about 150 bucks they gave us in free food and drink. We were also assigned their best waiter too. They really felt badly that we had to wait and man, did they make up for it.

So dinner actually turned out being fun. I just made my mind and heart focus in on the moment with my nieces and I got through it okay. Overall, though, I felt pretty sad... it didn't help that my sister started crying a bit and everyone knew why she was crying and then Anna sobbed to me in her room privately when we got home as well for about 15 minutes which, of course, caused me to lose it.

Still difficult... you have no other choice but to move forward... we're going over to my sister's shortly for breakfast. Also, Buddy and their dog, Hershey, are really starting to bond. It's cute. My nieces bought Buddy and their dog, Hershey, little Christmas presents so the dogs "unwrapped them" which was so cute. They follow each other around. Oh man, you can tell how chilled out Buddy is since getting neutered. Oh Thanksgiving he was barking constantly due to excitement. Last night post-surgery, he never barked and was so much calmer! Everyone commented on the difference. Not that he was bad being hyperactive on Thanksgiving. But he's matured so much due to the surgery.

How is it now? Any better? Could it be laundry detergent maybe? When did you arrive and when did you start showing symptoms? It has to be something... laundry detergent, carpet cleaner, something that is triggering it in their house!

ETA: Oh and as far as sleep goes... I haven't gotten too much in the past couple of days. I feel tired, both physically and mentally. I think tonight I'll finally be able to sleep some.

For sure . We don't focus on the number that we have behind as years, but on the experiences that we had and what we learnt.

Lol. Definitely impressive on your side to know when they were getting sick. Glad to read that she is getting better!

How long she will have to take the antibiotics? Also when she is supposed to be back at school?

Have you thought about dying it another color?

Really dark brown. However it's not blue black, but brown black. It has some warmer undertones.

To be honest in general I like women with longer hair more. For some reason I just enjoy it more.

Sucks that you had to wait so much , but the restaurant's gesture is awesome. Not a lot of places would do that.

It's quite understandable to lose it given the circumstances, but I like your way of thinking. You will always miss your mom, but you also got to enjoy being with Anna and Sara.

Laundry detergent is one of my theories for sure . I arrived on Wednesday and I got the itching on Friday. I also suspect the texture of the new furniture in the living room. The night that got bad I fell asleep on the couch so I am thinking that this might have something to do with it.

She's thankfully on an antibiotic that's a time release thing... so she takes it for five days but the length is really 10 days. So 10 days, basically.

They go back to school on January 3rd.

I know, right?!?! They really, really made up for it. Excellent food too.

Exactly. We endure it together. Plus, we are all Spiritual... we know she's still with us, some have contact from her more than others but at the end of the day, we know we'll all meet up again too.

Quote:

I will! Presents, they bought two toys and two chew toys basically. Buddy and even Hershey love toys that squeak and make a lot of noise and the two toys are definitely very loud just like they like it.

Did your mom switch laundry detergent over the past several months? I really think it has to be the detergent. Plus, the timeframe of 48 hours would be classic allergy related too, like a contact dermatitis taking your skin a bit of time to breakdown and say "Enough!" and then the symptoms develop.

Quote:

Thanks! I actually came home from my sisters around 1 PM and we all crashed and slept some. I slept from 1:30-3:30. Watched sports after that. Now we're headed back over there for dinner. I feel tired still but not as bad. My head's less heavy.

How are you doing? I'd imagine your itching is not allowing you to sleep much.
